Visited on Friday for some reason not so busy, strange considering the superb food, service, presentation. food and quantity faultless, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and very clean overall a great evening, perhaps the warm weather makes Oakwood restaurants quiet as they don? have a nice wine bar maybe the future, anyway would i recommend the Erawan absolutely give it a try (if you enjoy great, healthy food with top notch service) xx nikki

Soups superb, lemon grass, lime leaves and galanga lovely, Chinese and Indian cant hold a torch to this delicious food, sorry im converted to Thai now. The Erawan is a wonderful restaurant food ,service 10/10 nice friendly family run restaurant a little quiet when we visited but sure to get better, a nice Malaysian/ Burmese family joined as we nearly finished ,very well taken care off must be regulars( nice) good work one and all will be seeing you soon

I have tried the other Thai in Oakwood but found it most disappointing. Guess I am a Sukhothai loyalist, but there is really no where better to experience really good Thai food in a great atmosphere. Serving traditional food at reasonable prices open lunch and evening 12-2.30 and 5.30-9pm and all day through the summer holidays I had the steak and ale pie which was the best I have ever had, big portions. Definitely go back for more excellent vibrant pub lovely setting.
The Royalty – OtleyAgain and again the Erawan comes up trumps, we travel from Wakefield (sometimes after work) the one in Wakefield isn? that good, Oakwood and Chapel Allerton are easily the best, the one in Chapel Allerton is good but we prefer the Erawan as we have been 5 times now since opening and are treated like friends and family, food, service, presentation really can? find a fault, thank you very much. Suburban Style Bar – Chapel AllertonIn a word, the food was SEXUAL. The service was ok but could have been better. Beer had to be in plastic glasses as we were sat outside (apparently it? the law!) My personal opinion is that the pot-washers should be paid more! Overall a good night and I?l definitely come back.
Bankhouse Inn – PudseySukhothai offers great Thai food and as I found to my pleasure you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. From the beautiful wood carvings and tastefully decorated restaurant to the model-like servers, everything is pristine at Sukhothai. The restaurant's menu is inventive and offers very flavourful food. Despite the peaceful aura created by the design, Sukhothai when busy can get a bit noisy, so be prepared, but this in my opinion enhanced the evening, creating a very pleasant and lively atmosphere with an extremely reasonable bill, at just under £36 for 2 including a bottle of very pleasant house red, but due to the generous portions there was no room for desserts. A very pleasant night indeed. Highly recommended. 10/10.

Aya Sophia Greek & Mediterranean Cuisine – Hebden BridgeMy first visit to Sukhothai, I went with some friends on Friday. From the moment we walked through the door it was most enjoyable. My colleagues were experienced Thai foodies, so I let them order. The food was deliciously cooked, with generous portions. I just loved the different array of flavours available from the dishes, unlike Indian and Chinese where all the dishes tend to taste similar. The service and food was faultless, and then there was a really nice crowd of people in. Good value too with the bill just over £72 for 4, each having 3 courses and drinks.

I was waited on hand and foot, it wasn? that busy and it was really lovely to be spoilt after work. I think I will do it more often (instead of cooking) price was modest as well......... recommended

The kids love it too. They were spoilt by the staff and shown round the tuk tuk whilst we relaxed. I think it will be a regular thing from now on...

The food was to that of a restaurant standard and the prices were great. We were looked after by friendly and welcoming staff throughout the night. Overall a great night.
