this restaurant was amazing. had such a cosy atmosphere with an authentic feel and served delicious quality food at a reasonable price (the complementary nachos were very cute and yummy!). the staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. i will definitely be coming back here again!

poor service and quality

After waiting one and a half hours we left as we had still not received ANY food. On top of that, the restaurant made us pay for all the wine even though it had not been drunk. Do not go...

This place is fantastic. Was there last Friday and could barely get in the place, and little wonder. They run two menus: bar and restaurant, both equally as impressive from what I could see. Plus a specials board that I’m reliably told by a local friend of mine changes on a regular basis. Classy restaurant set-up on the first floor and laid back ground floor bar. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was great. I had the rabbit pie, my partner the turbot. Desserts were divine. Excellent value for money when you consider some of the ingredients they are using. Have already booked my place for Christmas. Highly recommend.

Benn dining at this establishment for nearly 15 years. Had to relocate to canary wharf so do not visit it as often. But they never disappoint when i go. The food is outstanding. I hear they are changing the menu now and adding a few signature dishes. Jhal Piazi is the best in town. Will be going back for more!

Erebuni Restaurant is one of those places where you are surprised that such a place could be so fun and where the food is so surprisingly good, when compared to other Russian or Eastern restaurants. The prices are worth the quality the restaurant provides. I think if you are up for something new, this is the place to go - especially if you are planning a party!

My girlfriend and I dined at La Dolce Vita last Sunday evening about 6pm. The surround was ok, far too bright and stark for my liking though and they could have done a lot more with the decor. We both had a glass of house red wine (which was particularly good) but when we asked for 2 glasses of tap water, we were refused them by our waitress. Apparently she has been asked many times for tap water by customers, but the manager refuses to supply or even sell it. When i told her that they were breaking the law by not even offering to sell us the tap water she just laughed it off and stood her ground. I wasn't even allowed to speak to the manager. Food was average. Stay well clear!

I visited this small restaurant as it appeared small and I thought the service would be attentive, being small. How wrong was I? It all went wrong from the start. Firstly, I was seated on a table with nothing on except a salt and pepper pot. After waiting a few minutes and twiddling my thumbs, I thought I'd ask for a menu as it seemed like the right thing to do. After all, I was in there to eat. I was given a menu and duly ordered my food. Ordered a very standard chicken dish which was swimming in oil!! Most unappetizing. Never, the less I managed to fish the meat from the oil. I then had to ask for a serviette/napkin as I wasn't provided with one. Then, realizing I was thirsty I noticed I hadn't been brought the drink I ordered. Admittedly, it was only a glass of water! Eventually I got the bill and asked the waiter if the service was always like this. He answered "we are very busy tonight and we get many people in all the time". That's absolutely no excuse as far as I'm concerned. And I will not be visiting here again in a hurry (if at all) Try other restaurants in the area except if the cost of a cheap meal out-weighs receiving poor service. Probably good student standard.

How is it possible for an Italian restaurant to get pizza wrong? Attilios know how! When they saw their customer not eating their pizza (i.e. me), did they come and ask how was the food, even though the owner was watching from just 3 metres away (but proud enough to paint his own face on the wall twice!). Am I writing this because I am bored and have nothing better to do - NO! I called over the owner and said I was very upset that the pizza was undercooked, he said I make a new one if you like, I said no need, if anything please give me a glass of wine. He did that, and then had the cheek to charge me for it! I have never had a terrible pizza before, I did not know it was possible! Next time, although it galls me to go to a chain, I'll go to Carluccio's! NB the lighting in there is awful.

This secret pub of tranquillity in a sea of noise and pollution is a real gift of a "local". Just off Oxford street, the appearance is nothing to right home about, but what is, is its unpretentiousness. One of my favorites because of this.

Kenza is fantastic place, went there last week with clients they all loved it, the food was great, service was attentive, the decor and ambience is sooo cool, and gorgeous staff.... I highly recommend Kenza, Go there. Toria Koulamoras

I have eaten here a couple of times because I had a friend who used to work there. The ambience is very good with all the flowers and the little stream running through one side of the dining area.The bar which is shaped like the King of Thailands barge is a feature not to be missed. My only problem is that I feel you are paying for all this and not so much the food which I feel is somewhat overrated. By keeping the prices high they are obviously trying to keep their clientele exclusive but why someone would want to pay their prices for food that could be purchased at a less exclusive venue and be of a similar standard beats me.

Newman Arms famous for its pies in the upstairs restaurant. They are excellent value for money, and all ingredients are sourced as locally as possible. The downstairs bar is amazing a real old fashioned traditional boozer. Locals sup their pints next to celebrities know one takes any notice of. The atmosphere is very friendly you feel comfortable on your own. The bar staff are part of the fun and good at their job.
