Excellent food and wonderful service
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeThe food was very good and the staff excellent. The noise level caused by other customers was so high we moved outside. I don’t know how you can control that?
Cafe Neuk – AberdeenLovely staff, super food
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeBooked a table for six for lunch recently and was very disappointed. We choose the Golden Lion as it is within easy walking distance from the train station. We have been a few times and the food and service have been fine. Unfortunately, on this occassion the first food to arrive was cold and had to be sent back. On the second attempt the food was still luke warm and was not what was described on the menu. The waiting staff were quick to deal with all issues and did allow us a free bottle of wine, which was appreciated, but did not make up for the unappetising food. Needless to say we did not stay for desert. From listening to comments from other diners it appears we were not alone in feeling let down.
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingThis is a fabulous seafood destination. Some inventive flavours to give the best local produce a different but subtle twist, but also all the classic dishes. Great atmosphere too
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeAmazing menu and quirky and very attractive interior to the restaurant. The staff were very friendly-even cleaned our oyster shells for us to take away! I have never seen scallops like it-huge, tender and delicious! The whole meal was great and we would highly recommend Cafe Fish. Thank you.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeFantastic meal beautiful view , great service . Thank you for lovely night
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeExceptional food - always. The best restaurant in Mull by some distance. And reasonably priced too
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeBooked for a breakfast for 7 people, food was good and well cooked. Service was excellent, especially the gentleman who welcomed us to the restaurant.
Ravelston House – EdinburghWent for evening meal . Limited choice for vegetarian meals . The restaurant was busy . I ordered vegetable fajitas. The vegetables were a pile of fried onions and a few slices of red and yellow peppers. There were no other vegetables evident such a green beans , mini corn on the cob or mushrooms. There was three mini tortillas which were not warmed up . The flavour was nice but for the price of the meal it could have been better. Staff were nice and good service.
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingFabulous food, great service and lovely atmosphere, couldn’t ask for more!
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeFabulous dinner last night at Cafe Fish.. we had the seafood chowder and shared the roasted seafood platter .. delicious!
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeThe food was absolutely delicious. Steak pie was amazing. I'll definitely be back.
Ravelston House – EdinburghGreat little restaurant at the end of Tobermory. A good selection of dishes on the menu and plenty of specials to choose from. They were able to cater for my dairy intolerance which was good as well. Friendly and quick service, food incredibly fresh and tasty. Would recommend! Be sure and book well in advance to secure your table as it always seems to be busy.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeThis is our second time here and as last time the food was amazing. Everything was full of flavour, staff are friendly and the view is great.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeWe got let down by the hotel we were staying in as they had no kitchen staff turn up. On reflection they did us a favour as we managed to get booked in at the Golden Lion, the food and service was spot on, we would definitely go back.
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingGood selection on menu, food wholesome but not fantastic, service very good.
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingExcellent selection of fish and ‘non-fish’ starters & main courses. Certainly all our choices (2 starters & 2 mains) were nicely prepared & and delicious. Staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was warm & friendly. The only complaint, if it can be called such, was that it was extremely hot in the restaurant. Despite the latter, we would certainly go back ourselves and recommend to friends & family.
