Ravelston House – EdinburghWe visited first time to celebrate my son's 18th with my daughter.Sirhan made sure that we feel at home and special. The food was well presented before it got served. We had the Tomahawk steak as well as the Sharing Board(i think we overindulge). It was amazing, one of the best steaks so far!We were made special as they provided us with a birthday cake and a Limoncello to top it all.The interior design of the place is beautiful and the rest of the staff were lovely.Highly recommended!
Parrilla Argentinian Grill – EdinburghFantastic lunch, excellent value. Made better by our lovely waitress, didn’t get her name. She was tall, short hair wore glasses. Felt like we were being spoiled. Sadly, didn’t see her before we left. Will catch her another time
Ravelston House – EdinburghI visited solo for my first visit. I was made to feel welcome, making food and drink choices in my own time. I had fillet of beef peppercorn sauce with scallops and steak chips, all cooked to perfection and well presented. Staff were appropriately attentive keen to provide information about the restaurant and their menu. I feel able to return on my own as well as with with family and friends. Job well done.

Hamnavoe – Orkneys and ShetlandsGreat steaks cooked to perfection good presentation friendly staff will be back
Parrilla Argentinian Grill – EdinburghVisited on a busy Saturday evening and were met with a friendly welcome. Once seated the different cuts of beef were shown and explained to us and our drinks arrived in a timely fashion. Our main waiter was Shiva and he made us feel very relaxed with his banter. Service was very good with nothing being rushed but efficient nonetheless. Three of our party had steaks (2 rib eyes and a zabuton) whilst the other one had the monkfish - all cooked to perfection. Our bill (which included a fair drop of wine, Peroni and Irish coffee) was just over £200 which we all felt was very fair. First time visit but certainly won't be our last.
Parrilla Argentinian Grill – EdinburghWe had an absolutely fantastic meal and the steaks were brilliant. It was my Husband's Birthday and we were offered shots. Will definitely be back again. Staff are so attentive and very helpful explaining about the different steaks Well Done all
Parrilla Argentinian Grill – EdinburghWell worth trying, food lovely.
Parrilla Argentinian Grill – EdinburghLovely food - best we had this week in Orkney, and we had some really good meals. My OH loved the Shetland catfish. I am in awe of anyone who can get pastry that thin and still get it out of the tin. I think the Valrona chocolate tart was the highlight of my week.
Hamnavoe – Orkneys and ShetlandsWe really enjoyed our visit, the food was lovely, starters and desserts were something different (rice pudding is amazing). My husband had the sirloin and it was cooked to perfection and was beautiful and tender, I had the Zabouton steak which was delicious until the last part and it was a bit to tough and chewy, I’m not making a big deal about this as I decided to try this unusual cut.
Parrilla Argentinian Grill – EdinburghVisited on Sunday, the food was fine but disappointing they don't offer a Sunday roast. It was odd that we were seated at a table that wasn't set - no glass or side plates, despite there being plenty of available tables. Slightly overpriced for offering and location. Steaks were brought out to show us and describe the cuts after we had ordered, generally seemed like they weren't ready for service despite the restaurant being open well before we arrived.
