Myself and my family visited yesterday afternoon in what was a last-minute meal. The team at Rivers Edge were able to accommodate us and gather our pre-orders to ensure that everything was up to scratch on the day, with it being such a large party. Food and atmosphere was lovely, along with extremely friendly staff. Would recommend

Attended recently for what was expected to be a lovely family meal, as that’s what we’ve had previously. 2 hours before our reservation, I received a call from a member of staff asking me for pre-order for 5 adults and 2 children, when I asked why I was told it was so they could ensure they had everything in stock. There are only 10 items on the menu. I found this odd as when I had attended before, with 11 family members, we’ve never been asked this. I felt pressured into calling round family to find out what they wanted. Never the less, I did so and called it through. Upon arrival, we were informed that they ‘had no fries as they were waiting on their delivery’, again, thought this strange as there was an option of ‘loaded fries’ on the menu. We were THE ONLY party in for the lunch sitting so thought it rude that we were expected to preorder when there was no one else there. Regarding the food: the cheese on the burger had be left for so long that it had pretty much evaporated, my son wouldn’t eat it. The lasagne had no texture to it and tasted like a frozen one, also had a strange ‘fruity’ taste. One member of staff, I think with red/brown hair and glasses was lovely sadly the lady who I assume to be the manager was quite abrupt. Maybe there is a new chef to the last time I went because previously it has been incredible. Sadly won’t be going back or recommending to others

Lovely atmosphere owners and staff very friendly and accomodating we ate there twice during our stay and family came one tea time for light bites. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed. We would visit again . Thank you for an enjoyable visit

5 stars !! First visit , could not fault it. So looking forward to Christmas Day

We booked for Sunday lunch 5.4.26 for 6 of us. The food was exceptional, we had sharing platter, all the meats were cooked to perfection and everything else was amazing. First visit for my son who said it’s the best Sunday lunch he’s ever had.

We had an absolutely amazing meal here. It was a beautiful evening and the moment we stepped out of the car we were greeted by tne cows in tbe field next door. The views were beautiful, and the air fresh. We went into the pub where a lovely lady quickly showed us to our table, there were 12 of us in total, but there was a slight mix up in meals as we had to cancel 2 meals earlier in the day due to a family emergency. One of the cancelled meals had been plated, however my husband agreed to habe that meal. The overall atmosphere was beautiful. It was quiet as it was a Monday evening, The portions were big, the flavours were gorgeous, the service by the lady was lovely. She was very consciensious in making sure everything was right. The man however was very abrupt regarding the mishap with the meals and came over quite confrontational. Everything else was perfect, the atmosphere, food and service by the lady. The caravan site looked lovely and well kept and made me think about our owm family caravan holidays. I would definitely visit again, and maybe even stay once we have our campervan. Well done to the Chef - who obviously has given this pub its great name 100%

We come here regular . 2nd time for a Sunday lunch , we had the platter for two all the meats just melt in ur mouth beef lamb and pork belly . The dinner was absolutely beautiful . Staff always friendly and welcoming too . U won’t b disappointed .

Lovely atmosphere, plenty of room as tables not crowed in and lovely Sunday lunch with plenty of veg.

All the staff were welcoming, cheerful and very obliging. The menu was excellent with a good variety of starters and main courses. The food was delicious. We would have no hesitation of recommending The Riversedge for a Sunday lunch.

Fabulous food, a good quantity and good service in a lovely atmosphere.

5th time of visiting with different guests and as always it is 5 star from the welcome to leaving. The staff are so friendly the food is superb. Cannot fault them at all and it is very good value for money.

The Lamb wasn’t as good as the last time we visited you. We enjoyed the meal.

Lovely meal. Friendly service. Good menu with lots of choice for vegetarians. Food appeared homemade and fresh. Would recommend. Brilliant if staying on the campsite.

Top marks on all counts. The staff were welcoming and also very anxious to make sure all was OK and as we required. We thought the cost of the meal and drinks was very reasonable. The quality of the food was very high indeed. We will be returning and would happily recommend the Rivers Edge.
