Enjoyed a good meal here this evening, service was great with waitresses being highly attentive and the food was very good too.We enjoyed a tapas consisting of calamari, duck, rump, meatballs, Greek kebabs and potatoe bravis. This is a very good tapas restaurant out of Liverpool city centre and I cannot recommend highly enough.

Disappointed

My family were very disappointed with this place. It was very cold inside and also we had to wait for a very long time for our meal to arrive. Staff were non existent. We will not go here again.

Big let down. Watery tasteless sauces, bland sides. Overpriced. We also had the added benefit of being served plastic in the naan bread. Won't be going back, there are much better options in the city.

Been eating at this Restaurant since it opened, it is by far the best in Liverpool, each meal is different and you get just what you ordered, so tasty and served by friendly staff and reasonably priced, what more could one ask for? The Manager Mr.Rahman is very welcoming. We have taken many of our Asian Friends there and they also agree it is a great Restaurant. Next time you want a good Indian Meal, try The Light of Bengal.

This is the 2nd time iv post on this website regarding que pasa cantina. The 1st was a 10 out of 10 review however I'm sad to say I can not say the same again this time. My wife and have been many times and for a long time it was fortnightly night out for us. The 1at time we went we met the manager. A lovely young man who was absolutely outstanding I could not praise him enough. My wife and I were sad to hear that he left in early January as he always recognised us and always made sure we were well looked after and that there was a table for us no matter how busy they were. After he left things seemed to change altho the service was still good and the food was excellent there was something not the same. Slowly we noticed lapses in service and standards a prime example being when a woman in her late 40's early 50's with dark hair sat us took our drinks order. Are drinks took over 20minutes to arrive. After which we had to wait a further 20minutes for a food order to be taken despite telling our server we were ready to order when she brought our drinks over. The woman completely ignored us and walked off. When are food did arrive it was wrong. My wife has an intolerance to sour cream thus we asked for our nachos to be without sour cream. When we raised this with our server she quickly took the nachos away and they were replaced. We didn't think anything of it as mistakes do happen. But we were.shocked to find that my wifes burrito to be covered in sour cream. We raised this with our server who said we hadn't explained my wifes intolerance to sour cream. The food was replaced by which point we felt our night had been marred by the incompetance of our server.nt only did she gt our food wrong bt she kept bringing us drinks we did not order or the wrong drinks. After paying our bill in FULL we decided to leave. On my way out I decide I want to speak to the manager and asked the lad behind the bar who pointed over my shoulder at the woman who had served us. All I can say is what a joke. Will not be returning anytime soon and we now both understand que pasa's decline. What a shame!!

Went to Marantos and was quite disappointed really. Wasn't too impressed by the service, didn't really feel welcomed - was just like being a sausage going through a machine. The food was fairly average as well, my lamb was not great quality, the sauce was very thin and watery and my wifes risotto didn't sit well with her. To be fair that may or may not be down to Maranto's but it's a little bit of a coincidence. All in all I think the food was average, menu unexciting and service uninspiring. Won't be going back....

After booking a table 4 weeks in advance for a big celebration we were phoned the week before and told that they could not honour our booking. The reason was they don't take large bookings on a Friday. This was after 2 phone calls and actually calling into the place to confirm. They have no customer service ability or sensibility. A lot of our party had been numerous times before but will not be returning.

The best Turkish restaurant in the north west by far. The food is incredible. The ambience is relaxed and the staff are really friendly - all in all a tremendous dining experience. You feel like you're in Turkey when in the restaurant ! I would recommend Elif to anyone !

When this place first opened it was a great addition to the lark lane community, I'm sorry to say since then we have been sadly disappointed by the general service and running of the place. The food is good for the price but not good enough to ignore the service by the more mature waiting on staff, thumbs up to the youngsters whose apologies stop you getting up and leaving!

Had a great meal here: food was lovely and it has a nice friendly feel inside. They also seem to do a lot of weekday deals.

Went to Bistro Noir on a Tuesday for the cheap £10 deal which included a drink. Could not fault any part of our meal or the service. Friendly staff and owner and great atmosphere, lovely vegetarian choices, excellent price, will be back soon!

We went to Bistro Noir in the evening after the Royal Wedding....really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The staff are really pleasant, the food is lovely and the desserts are to die for!!

Very disappointing menu, food and service Poor presentation and quality of food Such a shame as it could make a FORTUNE in that location. Message for head “” chef”” Creativity. The creativity of a person is already a part of him when he is born. However, if this quality is not developed in a person, this will not have positive results. Head chefs need to be creative above anything else. This may sound harsh but practically anybody could work out a meal with a recipe. However, the taste and presentation of such a meal will depend on the creativity of a person. Thus, for meals and recipes to be as delectable as these can be, creativity is essential. Thanks,

Another visit, another outstanding meal. The wonderful thing about this place is that the service is just as outstanding as the food. You can linger all you like over your meal - the staff don't hurry you, and you can be sure that as a result you'll be back again & again - just like me!
