Two excellent roast lamb dinners, great service, good quality drinks. Portions were generous and filling.

Four of us went for Sunday lunch for our friends birthday. Two of us had roast beef, one had lamb, the other roast pork. We all said probably best Sunday roasts we had ever had in a pub. The meat was so tender and just melt in the mouth, great selection of vegetables freshly cooked. The gravy was amazing! Yorkshire pubs were huge and nicely done...couldn't fault the meals in any way. Great service too, the pub was really busy but staff still had time for nice welcome and smile. Well done all at Victoria!

I went with my granddaughter for tea. Staff were incredibly friendly, warm and attentive. We had the homemade curry and child's hot dog, although this was a proper sausage and went down very well. I quote 'Chips were the best chips ever,! The plate was empty,a sign of good food if a child empties the plate. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Excellent meals, filling portions with "to die for" twice fried chips. Not able to have a dessert as the main was so generous. Friendly staff and lovely venue. What was not to like?

We chose Cottage Pie from the specials board and it was absolutely delicious. Would definitely eat here again, The Victoria Inn is a little gem. The staff were very professional and the prices were reasonable.

We came here for my mums 60th birthday meal. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, the meals were outstanding best meals we've had in a long time. Lovely beer garden and play area for children. We can't wait to come back here again. Friendly staff and lovely cosy feel to the pub/restaurant. We enjoyed the double Gins too haha. Thank you

Lovely authentic pub which serves great quality food. Would recommend and will return when back in the area.

The food is not as good now as it was even 6 months ago. Expensive but not great quality. The beef burger contained pork and was of the cheapest meat. The bruschetta at £10 was definitely not value for money. There was an issue which the manager dealt with very well. Overall would not recommend for food but as the busiest pub on the area doubt they will be worried .

Visited the Victoria on Sunday. The pub was busy and had to queue for five minute’s or so to order. The bar staff were very friendly. We ordered two large roast dinners one lamb and one beef, an extra cauliflower cheese and an extra Yorkshire pudding. The food was brought within fifteen minutes to the table all piping hot and plenty of it. The meat melted in the mouth and was just delicious. We couldn’t fault it at all. The sole was dry as a bone completely tasteless and over cooked...and there were 3 pieces. Huge portion of chips. Way too much on the plate. The red onion and cheese tart was very average and soggy. Veg were cold. All so very obviously frozen food...try a different supplier ! Should have complained but only 2 people behind the bar...huge queue to order and to pay. Waited 40 mins for our food. Discrepancy with another table's food order being put on our bill that took the guy behind the bar ages to sort. Really poor food and service . The staff were pleasant but overworked . Awful experience to be honest ! Wouldn't recommend!

Brilliant meal, great pub will be visiting again!

We came on Sunday and had a lamb roast and my husband had the pie we definitely enjoyed our meal. It was the best we’ve had in a long time Credit to the chef and the staff are staying down the road in an Airbnb as we come to Bournemouth for one night. We definitely come to this pub again in the area.

Brilliant food and service as usual

we booked for sunday dinner on 11th may 2025. placed the food order and 2 other tables ordered after us. another table of 5 then placed food order and was told there were no sunday dinners left. the 2 tables that ordered after us received their food. ours still hadnt arrived. i asked one of the staff where our food was. while he was checking, the table of 5 received food including sunday dinners (which they were told there wasnt any) the member of staff came back to apologise that there was a mix up in the kitchen and our food order had been stamped as being sent out. this wasnt the case and advised the member of staff we werent happy at all
