We holiday in North Wales every May and since finding the Victoria Inn in 2021 we have been back every year. Fantastic food and a reasonable price. And lots of it. Good choice of food as well. Easy to book online (recommended). Excellent service as well. Look forward to going back next year

Absolutely fantastic meals with brilliant portion sizes. Perfect for after hiking up Snowdon. Only downside is being seated in the dining room with loud group of guys and the waitresses being preoccupied with them for a large amount of time, meaning we had to keep going to the bar to ask questions etc because we couldn’t get their attention. Also meant our puddings took about 20 mins to arrive because they didn’t notice the order had been out in.

A complete disaster of an evening having taken 3 family members for a surprise meal.Table 9 booked but when we arrived was taken to table 78 in the dining room where two parties of around 15 people each where making so much noise it was impossible to have a conversation. Two children on the next table to us were sitting with their hands over their ears it was that bad. In the end we and the people on the other table went outside to eat. Not the best place to be at 7.30p.m. when the meal was served but better than having to put up with all that noise. Will not be visiting there again.

Average food, strange chips - more like coated mash sticks. Nice atmosphere though. Would go back for beers and snacks.

Another lovely family meal at the Victoria Inn over Easter! Food is always delicious, nice beer on tap, great service and kid and dog friendly. We love coming for a meal here on our holidays every year. See you in August!

We booked a table for 3 to experience something different and enjoyed trying out some very unfamiliar foods . It was a ramen and sushi night and was some of the best sushi we’ve ever tried . None of us are vegan but it was a very interesting experience . The couple who run the Foxglove are fun and locals clearly enjoy the restaurant . Would have been nice to have had a written menu to refer to but we did get good info from them when dishes were brought to the table . A fun night .

Foxglove offers an outstanding culinary experience. When planning our trip to this area of Wales we selected Barmouth based on wanting to visit this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. Each of the five courses on the set menu was exquisitely prepared and presented by the fantastic chef Luke. Multiple elements, colours, textures and complementary flavours making up each of the dishes. Everything is plant-based, much of it foraged, leading to a welcome opportunity to try new, and some previously unheard of, ingredients. Add to this, a cosy, relaxed environment, outstanding bread, a lovely bottle of wine, the added bonus of a slice of Antonella’s carrot cake (an extra treat for the couple of regulars sitting next to us), and being made to feel completely welcomed as friends chatting away long after bedtime! The meal was one of the most memorable of my life, I strongly recommend you book a table if you are in the area.

This is the best vegan food you will have. Five course set menu which changes depending on the season. Locally sourced and foraged ingredients. The food is also gluten free which for me is a necessity. Every time I have been I have been staggered by the quality of the food. Stunning flavours, perfect presentation, surprising combinations. This restaurant really proves that vegans do not miss out on taste and variety. The couple who run the restaurant are such fun and so generous with the advice and instruction they share. I love this place. I go as often as I can. I bring my friends. I dare you not to fall in love with the place, the food, the owners. Just amazing.

Evening with our two daughters and two grandchildren. The two pizza (home made) meals for the g/children were of a good size and quality with a choice of peas or beans. Two panini meals, a lemon sole meal and a ciabata with a choice of pulled beef or pork, chips and dipping gravy. All delivered quickly even though the restaurant was fully booked. Very polite service from start to finish. Good quality food at a reasonable price. We visit regularly and always bring friends when they visit as we know we'll have good food and a friendly welcome.
