The best restaurant experience I have had in forty years. Generally I’m not one testing menus but this was a well-judged delight.Exceptional service from the knowledgeable and highly entertaining Jason. Can’t wait to go back.

As a family of foodies with a Michelin star chef in the family - we’re quite discerning but this was really amazing food! Delicious courses, beautifully presented. Very friendly and attentive service. The wines were lovely, we can recommend the Sharpham wine. Great value for the quality of food, can’t wait to visit again!

Spent a really lovely evening at Maiden Arch. The food was wonderful, we loved all the flavours, can't pick a favourite course. The wine pairing was such a treat, so well matched. The best Prosecco we've ever tasted! Definitely would like to dine again here one day when next in Devon. Made a special end to our holiday.

Our best ever meal at the Maiden Arch. As a food and opera critic for many years in Paris, this was cooking of the highest standards. Service was charming and informal. There is no other restaurant in Barnstaple offering anything of this quality.

We have dined here many times since Rob first set up shop in Barnstaple and also had the home delivery service during COVID. Rob is an immensely talented chef whose food stands comparison with any Michelin starred restaurant I have eaten in. His particular gifts are not restricted to creating perfect food but he also matches the elements on the plate to form an ideal marriage and each dish on the tasting menus flow seamlessly one after the other. Fine dining at its best!
