Fig Tree Cafe – Barrow-in-FurnessReally going to repeat many of the comments already on this site. The food is terrific, better than I expected and far better than literally anything else in Barrow. The seats are a bit austere and lack padding and it wasn't busy when I ate at lunchtime so it lacked a little atmosphere. That said, this place is a class act and beautifully presented. It won't be long before it's crammed full of Barrovians 24/7. Very very very good.
Duke of Edinburgh Hotel – Barrow-in-Furnessvery good place to go, you have to book first as it's a popular wedding venue but you won't be disappointed
Chequers Hotel – Barrow-in-FurnessAwesome
Bosuns Locker Cafe – Barrow-in-FurnessAt last a touch of class for Barrow, great bar menu with excellent food for very little money. Congrats to the interior designers the place looks lovely, only trouble is you don't want to leave even though the drinks are expensive you feel prepared to pay the price.
Duke of Edinburgh Hotel – Barrow-in-FurnessReally good lunch here. We work at the Town Hall and had an excellent meal on Thursday. Delicious and obviously home made. I like it here a lot and would recommend it to people looking for a touch of class in Barrow.
Duke of Edinburgh Hotel – Barrow-in-FurnessI have been a customer in the Vic for a few years along with many of my friends lvy and family. there is a great friendly atmosphere. The person responsible for the last comment needs to take a good hard look at why he will have been refused. the landlord and landlady are very fair when refusing to serve someone. they would have had a very good reason not to serve them whatever it may have been. i would recommend this pub to anyone and everyone from the young to the old!! fantastic!!
Victoria Tavern The – Barrow-in-FurnessVery good yummy food for a great price
Salvanas – Barrow-in-FurnessHave been a few times and really enjoy the experience of being there. It is expensive for the area. However to overcome expensive wine by the glass, buy a bottle you can get one for around 8pounds. The food is good and excellent value at the moment as they have a half price deal on! March 07. So if you are thinking of giving it a go get your skates on, you simply can't be disappointed at those prices.
Duke of Edinburgh Hotel – Barrow-in-FurnessBosun's Locker re=opens March 3rd hope you pay us a visit
Bosuns Locker Cafe – Barrow-in-FurnessSo surprised to find this place in Barrow that I felt I had to write. Enjoyed an absolutely superb lunch, portion size was large, presentation was top end restaurant quality and the cost was ludicrously cheap. Beautiful bar, really impressed, nothing else in Barrow to compare. Granted, it took 15 minutes to arrive and I was starting to wonder why - but when I finally got the meal it's a cliche but... it was worth the wait. Excellent.
