Warm atmosphere, with efficient, flexible service. Prices good. Starters (pork belly, prawns) excellent Mains - pie, sausages, beef short rib themselves good with excellent vegetables. Unfortunately the gloopy, overthick, instant gravy-type ubiquitous sauce applied the meals somewhat.
The Crown of Cookham – MaidenheadA superb Sunday roast – best in the area! We ordered the sharing platter with beef and lamb, and couldn’t fault it – everything was totally delicious, and fab service and presentation too. Thankyou! Also thanks to the FOH staff who kindly accommodated us (and my 8.5-month pregnant bump) on a quiet table as requested. We’re looking forward to returning for another roastie already!
