very good food and staff, good as anywhere else, but very expensive to use on a regular basis, prices need to be reduced by 15% at least, then this place will be a roaring success

Induz – Sutton ColdfieldI love eating at San Carlo. My boyfriend takes me for special occasions, and it's just so special. The restaurant is in a great location - just off New Street, and next to Louis Vuitton - which means it's always packed with beautiful people. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome - from the welcome at the door, the arm around your shoulders as you walk up the stairs, the extravagant air kisses, and the pleasant service - nothing is missed by the staff at San Carlo to ensure you have a fabulous evening. The food is always amazing - I love the pasta and chicken dishes that they do. The food always comes out so quickly as well, and it tastes magnificent. I can't recommend San Carlo enough - make sure you go next time you're in the area.
San Carlo – Birmingham City Centreit was a crap restaurant
Moghul – Acocks Greenterrible place rude staff i ordered 5 breakfasts one was a vegi breakfast i recieved iy with a vegi sausage and a piece of bacon on top......... when i commented and said i'd ordered vegi they took it away took bacon off and gave it me back.......obviously i complained to a tut and a grumpy sorry terrible never going back again.
Bishop Vesey – Sutton Coldfieldwhat a lovely atmosphere, never seen ambience like this before, the food was Divine and so lovely( Try the mixed Mazzaa, very good value), the music was great, and to put the icing on the cake, there was a great belly dancer that lifted the atmosphere, The old looking manager from Syria, I Can't remember his name I think Souhail, was tremendous, he offered me few glasses of wine to welcome me for the first time to his restaurant, so that what I call a true arab hospitality.and great customer service with a human touch... and that what I think make a difference to other good places such San Carlo, or Banks, where the food is good but the service is disappointing... I will definitely book my company Christmas party for 50 people there. It is very nice to see places like this in Birmingham. thank you Syriana sabeh sabeh ya Bouha sabah Amine
Syriana Restaurant – Hockleywell what a nice surprise in bearwood, this Victorian building has been refurbished to an excellent standard. me and my husband went for a bite to eat i had the duck while my husband had the lamb, i found my duck a little bloody and asked the waitress if they could cook it a little longer. with apologies she took it away and a fresh non bloody piece of duck was cooked to my perfection. the staff are friendly even down to the tall man that opens the door for you. its a pleasant surprise.
The Kings Head – HarborneKababish was absolutely fantastic. Staff were lovely and polite, food was cooked fresh and was authentic and piping hot when it reached the table. Will definitely dine there again. Thank you for a brilliant night out.
Kababish – Sutton ColdfieldFood and staff were great. The one thing that I do feel I need to say is that the kitchen hygiene wasn't of high standards. We were sat opposite the 'chef' and whilst cooking he was eating (had to mouth spreads bacteria) and he licked a spoon used to stir a dish then replaced it in the food. I for one will not be dining there again, neither will the 3 families I attended with.
Boldmere Harvester – Sutton Coldfieldexcellent
Omar Khayam – NorthfieldI would like to thank and congratulates the owners and the manager on the idea of bringing the first Lebanese-Syrian proper restaurant to Birmingham. it had been prior to that located mainly in London, and only few shy trials to bring this type of restaurants to this area ended up as takeaway sort of restaurants. none the less, Syriana has a different taste and a unique atmosphere, ranging from authentic taste of the middle eastern and Mediterranean food- I heard that they imported their spices and olive oil from those areas!!- to the genuine middle eastern nights they hold on weekends nights which reminds me of those popular middle eastern restaurants and parties I witnessed in the United States. Good for you Syriana!!
Syriana Restaurant – HockleySERVICE, FOOD AND ATMOSPHERE ALL EXCELLENT, MADE TO FEEL VERY WELCOME ALTHOUGH WE HAD NOT BOOKED IN ADVANCE AND THE RESTAURANT WAS ALMOST FULL OF HAPPY DINERS.
Duet Cuisine – Fort DunlopGreat food, great atmosphere, pleasant and very clean. A typical local with exceptional food
New Talbot – West BromwichIt was so refreshing to find this place, unlike so many other city centre restaurants, the dining is casual and relaxed, creating a perfect atmosphere for our group. The quality and presentation of the dishes, combined with efficient and attentive service, is by far and away the best we'd encountered for a very long time. Well worth a visit and for us plenty of choice for our return visit soon!
Rectory Bar and Restaurant – Birmingham City CentreGood old traditional theatre pub. Very friendly environment & staff. Always feels safe to visit. Even get the odd star popping in from the Alexandra theatre next door. Enjoyable food at decent prices. Have a fab karaoke night Tuesdays & Fridays, (Fridays the best night!) Oh & the beers good too, especially the Guinness, best in town!
The Victoria – Birmingham City CentreHandmade Burger company offers the best range of burgers I have known and the quality is second to none. the food is thoroughly satisfying and the warm atmosphere really allows you to enjoy any kind of occasion whether it be a party or a romantic meal.
Handmade Burger Co – Brindley Place – Birmingham City Centrerude barman, cold food, rotten jacket potato and awful customer service.6th May2008
The Black Boy – Knowlewe went to akrams on saturday night, as frequent visitors soon as we entered we had noticed none of the usual staff, we were quickly seated, but after being seated everything seemed to take ages. we finally got our meal after over an hour even though we never had starters and the main meals were nothing 'wow'. wont be returning here anymore bye bye
Akrams Kashmiri – StirchleySuperb hot spicy Baltis in an informal cafe setting...don't expect great starters, spotless surroundings and attentive staff, just expect food bursting with spice, sizzling with flavour, a friendly owner and a great price. Can't recommend highly enough, is up there with the Royal Naim in Sparkhill and the Lasan Eatery in Hall green for me. Good vegetarian choice too!
