We visited the Plaza for the first time in a year or so (11-dec-07). It was always our favourite and we used to visit most weeks until we moved out of the area. We were made to feel very welcome. It was the first time the grandchildren had been to an Indian restaurant and the efforts they made to ensure they enjoyed the food were incredible. Sadly, due to recent events, the area is not as popular as it was but the food was just as delicious and consistent as it was. The Meat and Spinach (madras hot) is my particular favourite. One last point is that the Plaza is an Indian Sikh restaurant (as far as I'm aware the only one in the area) and the food is different from most other eateries around there. Have fun comparing

I have been a regular at Buffet Island and I agree with everyone else. Tried others in the area and there is no competition. The food is great the staff is great and they are also having entertainment on new years eve what else but a karaoke. What a great idea. Have a meal, a drink and celebrate the new year in a great atmosphere. If you go past you will see the posters on the restaurant.... I think it is a must to go. I am definitely going to be there. A party of 13 friends assembled at this establishment for a birthday party, the table was booked for 7.30, on arrival it was obvious that the establishment was over subscribed and not enough qualified staff to cope. The service was dreadful, the menu's were in short supply to enable us to order, the wine glasses the same to the point that they were almost snatched out of our hands as soon as they were empty, the food arrived (eventually) at about 9.00pm, all the starters were mixed up and so it continued. The eventual cost should have been in excess of £400 which my daughters refused point blank to pay in total. The owners were not in the least apologetic for the dismal evening and the ruined birthday evening, not to mention the spoiled evening for all those who attended. Take advice do not visit this venue if you expect good polite prompt and pleasant service. The other partner (male) became very aggressive when we attempted to discuss our grievances. Avoid at all costs.

A brilliant night out. Food was fab and service was ace.

All i can say is Jojolapa is excellent. The service, the food, the atmosphere. Waiters are so friendly they will stop and have a chat. They do not rush you while you are eating like some other restaurants. They are always willing to recommend dishes if you needed there help. the only thing is the prices are a little expensive but it is worth every penny

My partner and i went here on 5/12/07 at 7pm the place was not busy at all, we ordered two burgers at £6.95 each and one order of chips, the food arrived in less than two minutes! great i thought until i took a bite only to find that it was almost cold! the burger had obviously not been cooked to order and the chips were not good for £2.45 a pop. my girlfriend would not let me complain so i left nearly £16 lighter and not happy. wont go again and will not tell friends to go there.

Regular here at Flute and can never fault the food or the service. Excellent restaurant with a lot to offer and a fantastic new menu.

Complete let down. Dire food. Jack of all trades master of none would be apt. Don't waste your time or money.

The service was not good for the price, the staff seemed interested when we walked in, but as soon as we ordered our food they forgot about us. Poppadoms where on our table, but no sauces (wrong table). Nobody asked us how our food was or the service, once our starters had finished they didn't replace our knives (we had to steal some from another table). They seemed only interested in paying attention to what looked like their regulars. The food was OK, not great and definitely not good for the price. We ordered a desert and they didnt bring it to us and in the end we were running late for our film and had to rush out.

Really good service, the food was not what I as an Asian would go for, though the traditional dishes were done to a T. Great atmosphere, staff really friendly and I'd say all in all it was a rather pleasant experience...

I had the best fish and chips I've ever had from this chip shop, I'll definitely be going again! To the other person who left the review saying they use beef dripping, I asked and they don't they use pure vegetable oil which is also free from hydrogenated fats, so thumbs up there!

booked up for xmas as its the cheapest place around, love the way food is so quick and vegetables so fresh must be out a bag !! Roll on the buy one get one free

went in this place yesterday and had a meal that was very forgettable, poor service and in my eyes at £19.47 for 6 people including a jug of tapwater very pricey. Anyway have already booked for christmas so will try again

we recently visited on a recommendation from a colleague (thanks Blakey)and had a great time. Food was excellent made all the better as it was such good value, this being important as I'm not known for flashing the cash. Anyway we have booked for Christmas and look forward to much of the same value. Thanks to all the staff (any chance of a discount?)

This place was totally awesome, I went there with a couple friends. I can’t believe we found a total gem after a great night out there is nothing like so quality food. I really enjoyed the mouth-watering food…I loved the Stuffed Pepper I had for starters…so yummy and what can say about this dish Sathkore gosht so tasty, there friendly waiter recommend this dish…totally amazed and we can t forget the lightest naan breads i’ve ever tasted. I am totally hooked with this place. Definitely going back again.

Athens is a fantastic restaurant the food was outstanding i don't know what say cause it was so nice the entertainment was amazing the belly dancer was great even i had a go the Greek and Italian food was phenomenal the service was outstanding and so were the waiters the smashing plates was so good i smashed 20 of them and i felt good i stayed all night until early hours i had the best night ever u have got to go there
