We managed to reserve a table online for a midweek dinner. It is arguably the most romantic restaurant around with a seamless blend of fine casual dining albeit pricey. The Tapas seemed like a fusion of Spanish & Italian to us. La Plancha seems to pride itself in being "the hardest table to book in the city" - Not surprisingly!

the food is excellent i especially enjoyed the makhni paneer and the mirchi murgh,great deco and a wide range of fabulous dishes. worth every penny

My boyfriend and I visited on the Sunday before Valentines Day. The staff were friendly and the meal was very nice. We will definitely return and would recommend it to others.

My friends and I often go for meals here. Always enjoy it and look forward to going back. Really good, inexpensive food, free salad bar, attentive staff. Would definitely recommend it.

Very friendly people who know about fish. And chips and mushy peas too. Pedro is very welcoming He cares about what he's doing and all this combines to make his chippy the best I've found. Worth a detour.

Great food served in contemporary surroundings; efficient service. Try Sunday, Monday or Tuesday fixed price menus for a great deal. My wife and I were also given a free Cobra beer (no alcohol sales licence) on our last visit!

We enjoy Indian food a great deal and after a disappointing previous Italian restaurant failed, it was an absolute delight to have an Indian restaurant so close to home. The food is extremely tasty, the waiters are friendly and the atmosphere makes you feel at home. I would most certainly recommend a visit to this little restaurant, albeit a small place. This restaurant also offers a take away service, which is also recommended by myself. Don't just take my word for it, go and have a try for yourself!

Fantastic food and great service. A real pleasure to eat there. It will now be a regular eating place for me and it is open seven days a week.

I visited this place with 3 of my friends. 3 of us enjoyed our meals, but 1 didn?. He had mussels to start & all of the shells were shattered in the dish. Surely this should not have left the kitchen. It certainly could not have been eaten. He then had a poor main meal also. His steak was too well done - he had asked for rare. We did not pay for either of these dishes. The rest of us enjoyed our meals & couldn? complain. This certainly hasn? put me off going back, but I will stay away from those dishes

This is a gem of a Restaurant. Cheaper than you would expect, with food of a high standard. Always full, so it can get a little close at times and it pays to book ahead. Bring your own alcohol also helps keep the price down. Beautiful natural wood and neutral colours inside with a great choice of genuine and delicious Italian food.

tasty pub grub

My partner and I went to Locanta after it was recommended by a friend. The menu was varied offering a choice of grilled meats, shish style and a wide range of pasta and pizzas. We were very happy with the dishes we ordered, the staff were very friendly and the overall ambience of the place was relaxed and cosy. We really enjoyed our evening and will definitely return in the future. I would definitely recommend Locanta.

Went there on a weekday, starter not that good but i must say, the scallops were divine!! nice bottle of house wine cost approx £11.00 all in total about £80.00 for two-three course meals and side dishes.

Just excellent.. Plenty of choice.. great service.. we go there for every occasion. makes a great girls night out! recommended highly
