Personally, I found the food to be of a good quality, and the service to be prompt and acceptable. The overall impression was good and I would recommend the restaurants to others.

Spicewoods – SolihullMy husband & I were dazzled by the ambience from the moment we entered the Tapas Bar having been recommended by a friend. We began with a cocktail which was the special of the day and progresses upstairs into the restaurant and ordered a selection of tapas with bread. The Tapas was mouth watering and the Riojca magnificent. We went to the cocktail bar after we finished a magical culinary experience! The atmosphere was electric although busy. Can't wait to go back for another gastronomical experience.
La Plancha Spanish Tapas and Cocktail Bar – MoseleyThe Balck Eagle Pub is a lovely quiet pub, the food is wonderful and service is good. The garden is so delightful to sit out in and have a friendly meal, in its pleasant surroundnings.
Black Eagle The – HockleyThe best curry I've ever had!!!! I've been to many curry houses/restaurants and this beat them all hands down. You have to pay for the popadoms though. :(
Basmati Restaurant – Great BarrI have been eating here for twenty years, and have never had a bad meal. The service is excellent and the menu varied. I have recommended the restaurant to many happy people.
Moghul – Acocks GreenThe Village Cafe makes the best authentic Malaysian and Cantonese food at a reasonable price. Good location and friendly service.
Village Cafe – Birmingham City CentreLike stepping into Italy -food great - Staff very friendly -atmospheres is very Italian - phone to find out when Umberto? brother Renato is appearing for Italian night of music -bring your own wine etc good parking at side
Gian Carlo’s – Hall GreenHaven't been to this establishment for quite a while, but the food QUALITY is still the best for the price. Much better than a lot of the average extortionate places I?e been to.
India Garden – ErdingtonBeautiful place, surroundings very comfortable, food excellent, will be visiting again without doubt.
Monsoon Restaurant – Kings NortonWe often visit with a rowdy bunch of children with special needs for the early bird menu. This is always value for money and the children? meals are varied with different sized portions, great for our kids. We are always welcomed and catered for in any way we need. Some of our children are on special diets and food is adapted if requested. No matter how much mess and noise we make we are always welcomed back, so much so that there are 30 of us going for our Christmas meal! Watch out here we come!
Boldmere Harvester – Sutton ColdfieldExcellent Curry, Loved it, yet not as expensive as I thought it would be, highly recommended
Curry Garden – Erdingtonvery good
Arden Oak Harvester – SheldonThoroughly recommend the Warehouse Cafe - the atmosphere is cosy and friendly and the food is great - good, fresh and tasty and not just your usual vegetarian lentil flans or tomato bakes.
Warehouse Cafe – Birmingham City CentreThis contemporary restaurant is extremely well appointed and the food and service are great. One of the slight surprising things on the two times I have visited is the lack of diners. It may be that I was unlucky, but the sparse clientele certainly took something away from the atmosphere and ambiance. This restaurant deserves to be packed every night if the quality of the food, presentation and high standards are a measure. It may simply be that not enough people know about it, so maybe this recommendation will help.
Mechu Bar Grill & Late Lounge – Birmingham City CentreAverage restaurant, average price. For the area there are better. Needs modernisation from its dark dingy setting and requires friendlier staff.
Darjeeling Indian Cuisine – ShirleyTruly an eye opener! Fantastic food, fantastic staff. Took me totally by surprise. A bench mark for others in Birmingham to follow.
India Garden – ErdingtonWent on Tuesday night with a party of six. The Drum is a pub, which does food so it? a typical find a seat quote a table number setup. The decor put me in mind of the Garden House on the Hagley road and wall well maintained and pleasant to spend a few hours in. My father in law wanted to borrow the table for his Christmas Dinner. Service was friendly but just a tad slow not enough to ruin the experience but noticeable. I had the special prawn starter steak and Treacle pudding and custard all was very good starter was not quite what is expected but I think that was my fault rather then the preparation. Steak was a decent size cook Medium as I asked and each cause was a decent portion size and well presented. Drinks meals and dinner came to just over 70 notes All in nice place, friendly staff and good food. Would recommend the Drum for a night out.
Drum and Monkey – KnowleHaving read the reviews of some Sutton? restaurants, I felt that I needed to write this one. For the best curry house in the area. Which I have been going to for more than 30 thirty years now. Like a lot of Sutton folks, I myself had my first Indian culinary experience in this unique Sutton restaurant. The location is ideal, as Boldmere is a great place to go for a drink, with its many friendly and welcoming public houses and bars. And nothing caps of a night out there, than ending up at the Bengal. Having been there with parents when I was young, while I was courting, then with my husband, kids later on, and most recently with grandchildren. Service standards never slip, always has a good atmosphere, never any idiots or drunken louts there. The quality of food has always been of the highest standard, and most importantly it's consistent. The place offers a large menu, with a lot of variety. Highly recommend the Baltis if you like it spicy, if not the butter chicken is second to none!
