This restaurant is perfect for a romantic night out or for a group meal. We went as a group of six and after drinks in the gorgeous bar area with an amazing crusteacea bar, were shown to a lovely table. Fantastic service - never intrusive but always anticipating our next wish, and the food is beautiful - excellently presented and imaginative without being overwhelmingly fussy.

I chose to dine at Locanta as it is advertised in the Yellow Pages as a Turkish/Mediterranean restaurant. As my partner is Turkish I thought we should try it. I found the staff to be friendly, helpful & were delighted to be able to converse in Turkish with a customer. The food was of a high standard with an extremely varied menu including, italian & greek food. This restaurant is well worth a try whatever your tastes.

The Berlioz restaurant is in the Burlington Hotel in New Street, Birmingham (formerly the Midland Hotel). The three course £23 house menu provides reasonable value. Staff were very professional yet friendly. The restaurant is all no smoking though the bar next door does allow it and drifting smoke can be a problem.

I went to buffet island for a friends meal and i thought the food was fantastic! i have never enjoyed a chinese as much as i did at buffet island.

I went to The Royal Watan for my sons birthday party at such short notice (2hours) the staff and management were outstanding its the 1st time I have visited The Royal Watan but it wont be the last such a smart restaurant the food was the best I've ever tasted

Hello, I had recently had the pleasure of visiting The Plough restaurant and I was very amazed and taken-back by my experience. The quality of service and the food is absolutely breath taking, might I add the beautiful interior is excellent. My favourite dish was the Salmon Fillet with Tabasco spiked melt. The atmosphere at The Plough is just incredible; it? the place to go if you want a good laugh! The staff are friendly very professional. You really must try it!!

Very nice restaurant, great seting. Loads of pix of old italian/new york boxers. And the food is in big portions! Go for the meat balls!

I cannot rave about Opus enough! My partner and I went there for Friday night. Opus offers diners a fascinating insight into the possible combination of new flavours and quality ingredients. Subtlety and refinement are the two words that best describe this modern British cuisine. The service is warm and friendly with all staff members having excellent food and wine knowledge. The atmosphere of the dining area is sophisticated with tables well spaced for privacy! Yes, the restaurant does worth every penny...this had been a classy dining out experience!

Had a birthday bash for my Wife with 30 invites everything was as promised by mr watan (nick name for the lovely owner) we had a excellent time an the staff were very friendly an just a big thanks to the lads at the royal watan

Fun food, in nice surroundings. The children love cooking for themselves on the barbeque! Nice selection of pre-cooked Chinese dishes, kept topped up and fresh, and an interesting and tasty selection of raw ingredients for you to cook for yourself at your table, with plenty of excellent, available staff happy to help should you need it. Come hungry, have fun, and it wont break the bank. Well done Dragon BBQ for bringing some new ideas to the Birmingham food scene

The Malt Shovel offers two dining experiences. You can choose the Restaurant with its fabulous medieval atmosphere. Small, select but expensive. Alternatively the bar serves the same food in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Bar food is cheaper and equally excellent. The waiters and waitresses always seem to be from down under when I go! The Malt Shovel is a lovely village pub with a beautiful garden. Great in the summer for a drink although they do not serve food outside. Highly recommended wherever you live - it's worth travelling for. Enjoy!

Buffet nights superb and staff almost willing you to eat more, which, reluctantly, we had to agree too....

Michellin star. The food and experience has been lovely every time. Its a great treat. Definately worth the price!

Small Italian restaurant with nice family atmosphere. Have eaten here several times and always had good food. Not easy to find if you do not know the area. Limited wine list but always has good Italian wines. Booking essential.

Impressively bustling with an almost production line efficiency of turnaround...made me tired just watching the waiters preparing tables as soon as they emptied. Faultless array of food - upto fifty dishes at lunchtime - and the quality is surprisingly high for the Chinese buffet style. Chinese beer by the bottle and a good selection of wines and spirits. Handy for New Street station to waddle back to for the train home!

Best chippy in Birmingham. Far better than Harry Ramsden. Used to travel from Heartlands Hospital to get lunch here especially if I could work in a local call afterwards.
