Fabulous home cooked Sunday dinners. Service great.

We’ve been coming here regularly for many years and have always had top quality delicious food. A wonderful local pub, cosy, friendly & as far as dinner goes we can’t find better!

We had an amazing family meal to celebrate my early birthday on Saturday 22/2.. Excellent food choice and fabulous service. The restaurant was very warm and cosy. Big thank you to all the staff for a lovely night.

We had a generally enjoyable experience, as the food was great as always. However, on our most recent visit, we encountered two young waiters who unfortunately did not meet the standards of The Vine and seemed more suited to a fast food environment. One of the waiters brought a slate to share between my wife and me but dropped some of the food from the slate onto the floor right beside the table. He saw it and left it there for the young woman to pick up. To make matters worse, the slate was incomplete with three ramekins, but only two contained anything. I took the slate back to the young woman and pointed out: firstly, if you drop part of a dish, it should not be brought to the table; it needs to go back to the kitchen. Secondly, it’s essential to check the dish before bringing it to the table, referring to the empty ramekin. After this, we had a change of waiter, and everything was perfect.

Disappointed on the service last night. We were seated then forgot about, was while later when our food order was taken. No one mentioned the specials board on arrival. After our meal We asked for the dessert menu which arrived shortly after but then after waiting for 10 minutes or more we decided to leave after no one taking our order. Although staff walked past quite a few times. No one asked if the food was ok or even if we wanted another drink.

Had such a lovely meal with my wife and 2 children!! Not even a pea left on a plate …. The food is delicious…. Booked in for in 2 weeks!! So good !!!!

My son and his gf are here on valentines evening. They said the service, atmosphere and food were all amazing and they were made to feel very welcome.

Great food and service as always. The sweet potato and coconut soup was delicious then for main the Venison was so tender with the accompanying dauphinoise potatoes always my favourite around. Great meal as always and would highly recommend.

Such a lovely place, nice atmosphere, good food served by very nice staff. Also plenty of choice for gluten free options, which is important .

Had a lovely evening in Aqua the food was amazing and the waiter was so attentive and helpful. It was such a nice atmosphere and we will definitely be going again very soon. Highly recommend

We went for our valentines date night as we come here regular we new it was going to be lovely, it was a set menu we had 3 courses and all the food was absolutely wonderful as always, service is always of such a high standard here staff are all really friendly and nothing is ever to much trouble , it really is a gem and will be somewhere we always choose to dine.

The meals were delicious. They remade a meal for me because of a food intolerance. The staff were very attentive. We highly recommend the restaurant.

Little gem of a place. Booked a week ago and requested a table by the fire with my pops who’s a little older and feels the cold. Organised , polite and friendly. Food was superb. Only thing that I was a little disappointed was that we weren’t made aware of the specials when we arrived. That aside, the one I wanted a was off anyone so my decision was made easier. Love the fact they serve game, wish more did. Definitely be coming back very soon.

We went to the Red Lion on Thursday 13th February for lunch. Lovely food, great service and lovely atmosphere. Would recommend a visit. The two for one deal is great,

Enjoyed our meals last night, some interesting varied main course choices. Good service. My only suggestion is please warm your plates and jugs etc before serving it helps keep the food warm for longer. When a waiter expects you to take a plate from him you know the plates are not going to be warm.
