Our second visit to the Traders Arms and once again the food did not disappoint we are delighted to have found this place.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnLovely food excellent service. We had a very enjoyable evening. We cannot wait to revisit. Many thanks it was just perfect.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnVisited here for first time for a family celebratory meal. Very happy with quality of food and service of staff . Will, definitely be back again
The Traders Arms – BlackburnWe came last night for the first time and were not disappointed. Four of us had a different dish from the menu, four empty plates and thoroughly enjoyed the food! The pub was busy but still managed to have a relaxed atmosphere. We will be eating there again.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnI’m posting this review because Traders Arms asked me to. The main course and starters were good and, as other reviewers have commented, the chips were excellent. The dessert was very disappointing – bland cheesecake on a hard, thick biscuit base – like something cheap from a bottom end supermarket. But what ruined the visit was the “welcome” when we arrived. I had reserved a table, online, ten days in advance, requesting a table by a window. When we arrived, I gave my name and was told by the lady behind the bar that our table was round the corner by the coffee machine. The table was in a gap between the coffee machine and some steps, with part of the table protruding into the thoroughfare… and on the opposite side of the room from the windows. I returned to the bar and said I had asked for a table by a window. As I did so, another member of staff came over and asked what the problem was. The lady behind the bar said, “Apparently, they asked for a table by a window.” I produced the printout of our reservation and commented, “There’s no apparently about it.” We were the told that the tables by the windows (of which there were several, unoccupied) were reserved! In the end we had to settle for a table not by a window and, in retrospect, I wish we had left before accepting it. The service at the table was good but overshadowed by the rudeness of one member of staff. We won’t be returning.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnHave eaten here probably 5 or 6 times, different days of the week and times and every time the food and service has been great, both when it’s busy and when a little quieter. I feel it’s probably the best pub food (and service) in the area now. Highly recommended.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnFirst time visitors. My husband had the gourmet burger and I had the chicken roast. Service was brilliant. Food simply amazing. We will definitely be back.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnLovely Sunday lunch. Had roast beef. Good sized portions. Very tasty
The Traders Arms – BlackburnAmazing Sunday roast we will be back
The Traders Arms – BlackburnLovely meal once again with 9 of my family dining on Sunday evening. We enjoyed various mains including gammon, Sunday chicken roast and the burger and it all arrived promptly with everyone receiving a good, large portion. Everyone enjoyed the meal and will return.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnEaten a few times here and it's always top quality, freshly prepared and tasty. Not outfacing portions and service with a smile. Will be back.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnFood very good, table service excellent in a busy pub. Only flaw, we were delayed trying to pay waiting for bar staff to conclude their long conversation with another pair of customers. This resulted in a 4/5 for service which otherwise would have been a perfect 5.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnExcellent service brilliant food, would definitely go again and recommend the place to others.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnWe have visited a few times now and have never been disappointed. The staff here are excellent, very helpful and engaging and nothing is too much trouble from the landlady right through to the young waitresses, which says a lot for the training that the landlady gives them. In terms of the food, again it’s always been excellent, there is plenty of choice on the menu and nothing is a problem if you want to slightly alter something. We had visited a couple of times midweek but wanted to try the Sunday lunch and we weren’t disappointed, perfectly pink roast beef with lovely veg and no problem if you wanted more gravy! Value for money is also excellent. We have plenty of good eating places where we live in Hoghton but we are happy to travel the 15-20 minutes to visit The Traders as it’s always a great experience
The Traders Arms – BlackburnGreat traditional Sunday roast dinner. Good service and nice atmosphere. Highly recommend!

The Traders Arms – BlackburnFood not quite as good as on previous occasions but still ok. Staff were pleasant and attentive as usual. Will definitely visit again.
