Visited on 9th December party of 4. Excellent service and amazing food with a creative twist. Lovely ambience will definitely return.

Went for my birthday to Solea and we had such wonderful flavoursome food from their Festive Menu. Also I would like to praise the staff for being friendly and attentive- we will certainly return in the near future.

The decor is lovely, and a lovely fire as you come in. We were sat away from the bar in the back near the windows it was a little cold, but we had a radiator by our table so wasn't too bad. We had the Festive menu, and the Food was delicious and so well presented. I had the Duck pate it was beautiful the only criticism was an extra piece of bread would have been nice as more pate than bread, and the bread was lovely. The Cheese pie was the best I have ever had, I would give it a 100/10, it look beautiful and was so light and delicious and the chips were scrumptious.. Everything was cooked to perfection, could tell quality ingredients were used, it was nice to see vegetables put on a plate, as many places see to scrap these. My friends had the Muscles and risotto and both really enjoyed their dishes and they can be hard to please. Service was great, the waiter and waitress both made sure we were looked after. I have only scored the atmosphere as 4 as we were the only ones in, being a Tuesday. Really hope they succeed and will be back in the New year to try the normal menu. Recommend going as the food is stunning.

Love this place! From the welcoming fire that greats you when you first arrive, to the lovely bar man who makes the best cocktails ever - it's a great restaurant for all occasions. We visited with friends who all throughly enjoyed it too. Our waitress was lovely and the food was absolutely gorgeous! Really full of flavour. I love to dine where there is an open kitchen and you can watch the chefs work their magic on your food. I would definitely recommend it and can't wait to visit again in the future!

Had Sunday lunch yesterday. Tender roast beef, cooked to perfection with a selection of vegetables. I’m so Mark is back again. He’s done a great job of refurbishing the restaurant. Would highly recommend it.

When all aspects come together to form the perfect restaurant! Amazing food, ambience, wine, service and cocktails. 5 small plates was the perfect amount for two people. Highly recommend the halloumi, chorizo, scallops, patatas bravas and gambas pil pil. Booked already for a return visit. Do it, you won’t regret it!

Food was excellent , with the food being freshly prepared it was a bit of a wait, but worth the wait. Staff very helpful and friendly. Suggestion , the lighting in the back room was too bright , low lighting would create a better ambience. Would recommend a visit

A stunning place. Food great. Staff really friendly and helpful. Felt looked after. Had the steak and ale pie and it was delicious. It was really busy so thought we might have to wait a while so ordered some nibbles which were equally good. i think its fair to say that we were rather full when we left!

The Black Bull is our local, having moved to Brockhall Village in December 2021. Went to the Black Bull with my wife to celebrate Valentines Day. All of the staff are very well trained, ie not in your face but there when needed. We had chateaubriand and it was the best I have ever had. Also had the trio of desserts which were a perfect end to a fabulous evening.

I cannot recommend this pub enough. Yesterday we had a lovely lunch. The food was fantastic and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly, attentive and helpful. They definitely went that extra mile to ensure we had an enjoyable time. It is a regular eating place for me for a reason. Food is always delicious. Cannot fault.

Fantastic! I would highly recommend the Black Bull to anyone. Great food, attentive staff, lovely atmosphere - what more could you want? The cherry on top for me was being dog-friendly. We all feel very welcome every time we go.

The food is always delicious and plentiful and the service is always second to none. The team are courteous, attentive and extremely chatty and funny. They make the experience a great one. I always recommend The Black Bull to friends. Oh and my kids love it because the menu is hilarious and they do “the best chicken nuggets in the world”.
