We went to Prashad a few years ago, we had friends visiting from London who are both great lovers of Indian food (having travelled in Asia extensively) and also vegetarians. We wanted a good veggie curry house, and googled to see where to go. We were not disappointed - all of us (a party of 7 including 3 children) had a fabulous meal, and really excellent service throughout our visit. And now having seen them on TV, and having willed them on all the way to the final, we would love them to win, and we would highly recommend them to anyone. Whatever the result on TV, we'll be going back for another lovely meal.

Having looked forward to eating at Prashad we booked for my birthday lunch and were quite disappointed. Despite taking half an hour to answer the phone. A friend recommended who said they were disappointed too after having been to Prashad on many occasions. They have been a victim of their own success. The food was delish however the portions were small, the service was slow and quite impersonal. It was also very expensive. We won't be going back I'm sorry to say.

Having watched the Prashads on Ramsay's 'Best Restaurant', we were really impressed and wanted to check out the restaurant for ourselves. We drove especially from Manchester for a late lunch last Saturday and were not disappointed. The food was fresh and lovely. The service was very personal. A great experience overall.

Very friendly helpful staff. Sag panner with spinach rice excellent. Main courses I found a little "samey" and too much fried. Desserts v good too.

We ate at Prashad 2 weeks ago, the food was beautifully cooked, we weren't waiting very long and the service was impeccable. All they need is a little bit more room so that there is room for people to sit while waiting for tables. It was well worth spending a weekend near Bradford to be able to go there.

Fantastic - we are going back until we have tried everything on the menu! Delicious, filling, amazing presentation, skilled and sincere service, relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced. A must if you visit Yorkshire!

Saw this Restaurant featured in Gordon Ramsey's "Best Restaurant " when living abroad some 5,000 miles away. Made a promise to ourselves we would dine there. It wasn't a disappointment. The attentiveness and friendliness of the owner and waiter were second to none and the food was delicious, particularly the special chaat.........Highly recommend this restaurant!

Prashad really is a super restaurant. The dishes are beautifully and expertly cooked. The Tarka Dahl was the best I have ever eaten - perfect spices and texture. Restaurants like Prashad are few and far between, so you really must give it a go to discover what Gujarati and Punjabi food should taste like. I wish we lived a bit closer!

What an enjoyable evening. The welcome and customer care throughout the whole of the time we were diners could not be questioned. Such a nice touch to have the owner come out of her busy kitchen and acknowledge us to say hello and ask how the service and meal was. The food was delightful, the different flavours that we encountered were amazing. Every bite was different - highly recommended would definitely come again and recommend friends and family !!

Very very disappointing. I would never recommend it to anyone. I visited Prashad twice, first time when they were nominated on the Ramsay's best kitchen and then when they went through the first round. There was a vast difference in hospitality. On the second occasion I found the waiter to be indifferent. Food was also below average. We ordered Chats which were tasteless. The Paneer dish was burnt and the Aloo Gobi had more of Aloo and 3 tiny pieces of Gobi which had not been fried and were undercooked. I would never go back to Prashad again.

Saw Prashad on Gordon Ramsay's Best Restaurants and knew we had to give it a try - being from Bradford and loving curries! Not only is the food outstanding, the welcome from "mummy" was so warm and sincere, a lovely lady. Good luck to you all for the next round, we'll be watching! :)

Not having booked we were seated in the new area created by Prashad closing down their deli. It was a little bit too cosy (cramped!) almost sharing a table and our conversation with strangers. The service was excellent though, quick and the waiters helpful and informative. A starter of pickles and popadoms was very good (although this is often free at other similar establishments). The mixed platter of deep-fried savoury's was OK but nothing special. My main was likewise if not a bit bland and the accompanying nan was undercooked and doughy. Would I eat there again? Perhaps not!

I am finding it difficult to add negative comments to all the previous positive reviews but feel some balance is needed here. Yes, the poppodams and chutneys are great, well presented BUT the rest was disappointing considering the rave reviews from Gordon Ramsey and others. I don't think it was an off night. Staff great no problems there, seating however is terribly crowded and it felt that I was sharing a table with the people next to me. The mixed starter tasted very oily and same-y- everything except the spiced cake was deep fried much to my disappointment and I was surprised to see spring rolls on the menu - are these Indian cuisine? My main course was disappointing - tinned petit pois in the pea curry which makes my heart sink especially when fresh peas are in profusion at present. The naan bread was very doughy and disappointing. My partner who will be commenting separately was also disappointed. I have travelled extensively in India and this did not feel like Indian street food. I live locally and was expecting more, I will come back once more to see if this restaurant can redeem itself in my eyes. I have experienced much better Indian food here and abroad and cannot say that this is the best I have ever had, I am a vegetarian and was looking forward to great food but alas it did not hit the spot - sorry Prashad

Prashad is the best restaurant I have ever been to by far!!! I travelled over 80 miles to experience this amazing vegetarian and vegan cuisine, I wouldn't hesitate to travel another 80 miles in a shot to experience the genius food all over again. We are already planning our next visit and will certainly visit again very soon. I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly. I just wish they were based in Chester or I could always move closer to Bradford lol. I have been a vegetarian for over half my life and it was my first ever experience where I could sample anything off the menu. Also the choice and quality were of another league. I now have a love affair with Prashad. Thank you to the staff and Bobby for a lovely personal welcome and warm service. We will no doubt see you again very soon.

Prashad makes the best food I've ever eaten, not too hot but fantastic flavours. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I have been twice and it was just as good the second time round.

Wow!! Being from 'Bratfud' originally, I'm used to curries, but eating here tonight was something else! From entering and to leaving, the service, food was 2nd to none!! I just wish my gorgeous girlfriend felt the same!! Unfortunately she's from 'Ull' and doesn't appreciate good, quality food when she tastes it!! If it hasn't got chips in it, she doesn't want to know!! I WILL defo be going back there, but with my friend next time. It was the best curry i've ever had!!! Keep up the good work!!
