Sergios Italian Restaurant – Bristol City CentreMenu was a little daunting as it was they had Japanese names for the dishes, although there were some pictures to help. Staff were very helpful in guiding us through though. But we were totally amazed when we saw and tasted the food. It was the first time we actually had Japanese food, and it tasted so fresh and authentic, we are now addicted. Highly recommended!
Obento – Bristol City CentreFantastic food, waiting staff can be a little slow at times in taking your order. Food arrives quickly, but getting your bill can take time as well. However if you love Italian food, this is by far the best Italian I have ever been to, and believe me, I have been to loads.
La Campagnuola – Bristol City CentreI always enjoy eating Indian food in a more modern setting and actively seek this kind of contemporary restaurant when travelling around England, if you look hard enough you?l find at least one in every city. I was really impressed by the operation, great staff, music and visuals. Freshly made exciting food came to our table and was excellent, the attention to detail was appreciated and we had a great time. I will go again at my nearest opportunity. Keep it up!
Oh Calcutta – Bristol City Centrethere's a really nice atmosphere here, on a dark afternoon it felt like a warm place to escape to, but it's definitely not pubby - i would take the kids here for food or go later for grown-up drinks
Deco Lounge – Bristol City Centrehalo has a nice garden out back which is good because when i went the inside was way too smoky, at brunch-time. places this small should be no-smoking at least before 8pm. nice smoked salmon/poached egg/muffin combo
Halo – Bristol City CentreWe walked into Don Giovanni's just because it was close to temple meads station, but now I've been once I would definitely go again. The pasta was great and the puddings were fabulous. The steaks also looked great.
Don Giovannis – Bristol City CentreWhat a wicked spot, right in the heart of real Bristol> You would love it whoever you are.
Cosies Wine Bar – Bristol City CentreHad a very nice meal with my family. Excellent quality of food that you could tell was freshly prepared and very friendly service from the three girls. As it was my boyfriends birthday they went out of their way to provide balloons for the table which was a nice touch. Once we had finished in the restaurant we hit the tables and had a really good time. Having the tables and machines next to the restaurant makes for a very different evening.
Grosvenor Casino Bristol – Bristol City CentreFood was very very good and I have to say exciting and full of surprises! Wine list was great and we had 2 of the more expensive wines, pudding wines, cheese and coffee so this inflated the bill to around £75 per head. However would be possible to pay far less with easy and have a good amount of wine if more sensible in your choices. However you may find it hard to resist. Don't be put off by the address as some people may be, it really is worth a visit, it is one of the best meals I have had.
Bells Diner – Bristol City CentreGood choice of food, very relaxed atmosphere, no rushing a proper night out with a real holiday feeling. Staff very friendly and obliging. Hosts very welcoming.
Kebab House The – Bristol City CentreMichaels Caines has made this restaurant famous & the Michelin award well earned. A special treat to dine here, every dish is exquisite. The dining room is quite beautiful. Looking forward to my next visit.
Walter’s Bar and Grill – Bristol City CentreRare day off from work, decided to treat myself to a nice relaxed lunch for one!! I have dined at the River Station once before where I enjoyed the best piece of steak I have ever eaten. Today I took advantage of the two course set lunch for £12 plus a desert from the main menu. Lamb sweetbreads on bruchetta for starter with Loin of Pork with Bubble and Squeak for main course. Summer Pub with vanilla ice cream for desert plus two non-alcoholic drinks and a bottle of mineral water came to £19.80. Excellent value and really good attentive but not intrusive service.
Riverstation – Bristol City CentreGood student haunt - good deals on food (2 for 1 pizzas monday). The food isn't fantastic - stick to the pizzas or penne and meatballs! - and there have been times when they weren't able to provide food (cocktails sometimes a bit dodgy too!), but staff normally very friendly and quite good fun. Convenient location for Whiteladies. Tends to get very busy though so you have to get there early.
Bar Room Bar – Bristol City CentreLast night was my second visit to loch fyne, I can? wait until my next one. Albeit a Monday and the restaurant was quiet, the service was excellent, prompt and courteous. The specials board was wonderfully varied. The wine list was good and reasonably priced. The oysters sublime, the haddock delicate and Moorish and the sorbet perfectly freshened the palate at the end of the meal. The bar underneath a bit trendy but that? not a bad thing in this case. Recommended for any occasion.
Loch Fyne Restaurant – Bristol City CentreI've had 2 awful meals at this place. The food was very good - when it arrived. However, the service on both occasions was very poor. We were offered our bill after the starters (they had forgotten our mains). On another occasion, it took 45 minutes for our starters to arrive and a further 45 mins for mains for only half of the party. The staff didn't really seem to comprehend what the problem was. Good to see that things are improving - hope it lasts.
Plantation – Bristol City CentreSmall place very popular, fantastic food at very reasonable price. Those who appreciate genuine Indian food, it's worth a visit. Try the Tamarind Chicken or the Lal Maas, which you are not likely to find anywhere else. I was informed it's Ahmed's own creation. Word of advice worth booking in advance.
Ahmed’s Curry Cafe – Bristol City CentreThe chef cares about his work. Ingredients excellent, cooking and presentation too.
