After my Baby Grandson arriving prematurely we had to cancel our original Baby shower Booking in February 2026. We did a meet and greet with him instead on the 9th May at the Union Street Brassiere, Yeovil. We were made to feel so welcomed nothing was too much trouble and we were allowed to decorate the area as we wished. The staff were very attentive supplying drinks to our guests and even taking photos for us. As always the cream teas were delicious and our younger guests could have the options of cooked meals. All the guests are still talking about this very special party and I can not thank the team enough for what you have done. Special thanks must go to Ashley, Graham and Jordy and the Team who went above and beyond to make our Meet and Greet so special and such a memorable experience. Thank you so much Kerry

I visited today this cozy café with my friend and had a truly wonderful experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. The food was delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The desserts were especially impressive — tasty and the perfect way to finish the visit. What really made the experience stand out was the excellent service from Iryna. She was incredibly attentive and kind throughout our visit. She regularly checked in to make sure we were happy with everything, and she thoughtfully suggested drinks and delicious desserts that we might enjoy. Her friendly and caring attitude made us feel very welcome and well taken care of. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely love to come back again.

The lunch menu was simple but delicious as I have a few dental issues I ordered French onion soup. The presentation was super the taste was sweet but savoury. Very impressed with the quality of food and freshness a winner for the little appetite.

This is the third time I have visited Olive Kitchen and have always found the staff and food excellent. I would highly recommend going for a meal.. Just one very small thing.....when having the goats cheese toasty please supply a sharp knife or surrated one. Have to work hard cutting other wise. Very small point but booking again very soon.

We have now been several times and as always lovely food, service and atmosphere . The only negative was when we arrived and although we had booked a table in advance, there didn’t seem to have been any consideration on where we would be seated , we were offered a table looking directly into the toilet entrance , even though there were numerous other tables available some looking directly outside. Perhaps that aspect can be improved, other than that we have recommend the Olive Kitchen to friends and relatives

Our first visit to the Olive kitchen, and what a tremendous find, the food was outstanding, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere just perfect. We will be making this a regular, and as we live 5mins away we couldn’t ask for more. Thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting a great meal out.

We attended Union Street Brasserie for a family member’s baby shower and gender reveal, and it was a truly wonderful experience. From the start, the staff were incredible, they were so accommodating and welcoming, and they kindly allowed us to decorate the space. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and created the perfect setting for such a special occasion. Throughout the event, the team were attentive, regularly checking in and taking drink orders. The afternoon tea was delicious and beautifully presented, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. The parents-to-be loved every moment, and all the guests had a fantastic time. Many of us travelled from across Dorset and Somerset to be there, and it was more than worth the journey. I would highly recommend Union Street Brasserie, whether you’re planning a special event or just looking for a lovely place for lunch. A big thank you to the entire team for making the day so memorable!

I had the Quiche it was great so flavourful a great meal if you have not been to have a meal then do it you will not be disappointed

Another lovely visit to Olive yesterday. Service is always great and the food was beautifully prepared and presented. Highly recommend.

We booked online for a Sunday roast in the Bay at 6.15pm . You take bookings until 6.30pm. There was 4 of us. We all chose to skip straight to the roast mains. After a short delay they arrived along with the cauli cheese ordered. They were nicely presented. Sadly we all said the roast potatoes tasted like they had been sat around kept warm all day and were a little soggy. The roast beef was good , but the one pork meal was chewy and too thickly cut to cut up with the knife on the table We all enjoyed our puddings, but the most annoying part of the whole experience was that when we asked for coffees and aperetifs we were told the coffee machine had been cleaned out for the night and the bar was closed . This was 7.45 pm If you take bookings up until 6.30pm , why on earth would you not give customers time to have 3 courses ( we only had 2 ) plus coffees and drinks afterwards We were all very disapointed and as locals living in the village would feel it difficult to recommend the restaurant The waitresses were polite , so we did pay the extra 10% but felt the overall experience was a let down tbh.

Rock Salt is clean, light and airy. It is local to us and a nice place to socialise.

My wife and I had a first class dinner. The food was fresh and well cooked. Service was prompt and friendly. The seats are comfortable and the tables are not too close to each other. The price was reasonable. We recommend this restaurant.

Great place to eat - booking is so easy on line - service was efficient and timely, food different and very tasty . We had brunch, I had the French toast which was cooked perfectly and the rhubarb added a great flavour to the whole dish. Coffee was good too. My husband had the cooked breakfast and felt it lacked some moisture I.e tomatoes or baked beans but he still enjoyed it regardless. Feel this is a little hidden gem in Martock .
