We both had fantastic meals at Goodfellows, the waiting staff catered for us excellently. The truffle scallops were delicious as well as the monk fish. Highly recommended.
Goodfellows at 7B – WellsOur dinner at Goodfellows rounded off a perfect couple of days in Wells. All aspects of the service from welcome to farewell were understated but pitched just right. The food was quite superb. Our main courses were scallops and hake. Perfectly cooked with subtle flavours. Delicious. Rounded off with exquisite apple frangipani flan. It is not a cheap restaurant but not expensive for what you get. Will definitely return when next in Wells.

The Olive Tree Restaurant – WellsGoodfellows was a rare find when we stumbled upon it whilst on holiday at its old location about eight years ago. I’m pleased to report that the passage of time and a new location has done nothing to alter the excellence of the food and the superb ambiance of the establishment. The standard attained by the chefs and waiting staff is exceptional. Five well deserved stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from two happy customers!

Staff were really friendly and engaging, offering recommendations and chatting with the customers. Food was really tasty and clear plates all around. Nice location, close to a number of other bars and local buisnesses.
Fishers Restaurant – CliftonFour of us (one gluten free eater) met for lunch at The Olive Tree yesterday on our first visit. This is a lovely place with attentive and informative staff. The food was excellent - we had pork cutlets and a very delicious chocolate pudding. When it comes to paying, many places find it just too difficult to split the bill, but not The Olive Tree. It went through without a hitch. We’re definitely coming back.

Goodfellows at 7B – WellsOur first visit here and it was brilliant! Four Sunday lunches, food and service excellent. It’s great that the Sunday roasts are gluten free and our vegetarian friends were really wowed by the vegetarian Wellington. The portions are really generous too. We were too full to try a dessert, but they looked mouthwateringly good as they came out! Lovely welcoming atmosphere and we weren’t rushed to leave when we’d finished. Thoroughly recommend The Olive Tree, you won’t be disappointed! We’ll be back!

There is a good choice of reasonably priced wine and the menu is well though out. I am already looking forward to our next visit.
