Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveGood vibes, good food - no better place to go for a carvery. I’ll be back, thank you!
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveI recently dined at Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The food was delicious, but what truly made the afternoon special was our host, Reece and his staff. From the moment we walked through the door, the staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and accommodating. They made sure we were seated comfortably, checked on us throughout the meal without being overbearing, and handled the entire afternoon with absolute professionalism and a warm smile.Excellent hosts like Reece are rare to find, and he is a massive asset to this restaurant. I cannot recommend Christopher’s highly enough. The outstanding hospitality and great atmosphere mean we will definitely be returning soon. Thank you, Reece and all your staff for a fantastic afternoon.

The Navigation Inn – BromsgroveLovely afternoon- great service and food was great
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveDrove down from Birmingham after seeing this Caribbean Carvey advertised and all 4 of us was soo looking forward to the food, but how disappointed we were. The initial reception was warm and friendly, but having to sit for 1.5hrs to then be told that the Buzzer was not working, so we should go and get our meal. Not sure if the cook is Caribbean, but the food definitely lacked Caribbean flavour! My chicken was not properly cook so could not eat it. The nicest part of the meal was the cabbage which was nice and crunchy! Then when requesting our bill, we were told that the system had gone down and they could not take card or cash payments, they were waiting for the manager who was not picking up their phone. The staff were overwhelmed and to be honest it was a shamble in that one of the customer had to giving aspects of solution. We eventually managed to pay, but of course could not get our change. Will not return.
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveGreat mixed grill and excellent service
The Navigation Inn – BromsgroveThe best mixed grill in the midlands. The masala fish main course was just as good. Thoroughly recommend the food and venue.
The Navigation Inn – BromsgroveThe service was the best at the restaurant. Our amazing waitress was really friendly and helpful and made the experience way better. The food was lovely. The amount of meat that they add to your plate is satisfying and way more than other carveries. We found the beef a little chew but flavourful and the Guinness punch was fantastic. Overall it was a really good experience.
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveGreat atmosphere. Loved the deco. Plenty to eat portion sizes were more than generous. Roast chicken was juicy and cooked to perfection, beef lacked seasoning and a bit chewy. The Caribbean side of things I didn’t enjoy; the rice and peas wasn’t authentic. The colouring of the rice and peas wasn’t apparent no soaking or boiling of peas no onion, thyme or pimento went into that pot and not to mention the coconut cream, the plantain was okay but next time slice them diagonally before frying them; the curry mutton was okay cooked well. I understand you have to cater to meet all tastes but if you’re going to advertise a Carribean Carvery ensure the Caribbean dishes are authentic, celebrate and do it justice. Please consider the recommendations because you will really go far and continue to thrive . You have a great concept and with a few tweaks to the style of cooking it would be fantastic
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveGathered the family together to celebrate my birthday, they did everything they could for 15 of us. Food was on point, hot and nuff of it!! Staff were great attending to everything we asked, even gave us what we think is the largest knife we've ever seen to cut my cake. Deffo returning with more people next time
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveThe service was excellent. The place was clean and the food price was more than reasonable. The goat was cooked to perfection and the roasters were the best. Great food as usual.
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveAttended on a Thursday evening with 3 friends. Only ourselves were dining in at the time. Served quickly and by a friendly host, unfortunately food was not up to standard. Dumplings were rock hard, Mac and cheese seemed old like it had been sitting all day. Carribean roast seemed to lack flavour however food was not piping hot. 2 of my friends had oxtail which they said was ok. I've heard great reviews so was very disappointed, unfortunately will not be returning.
