Had a lovely evening, never been here before, a weekend in the peaks so decided to book having seen the pub/restaurant online. Fantastic food, great service and just a lovely all round vibe with the live band on too. Would definately visit again and highly recommend. Thank you
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonLovely restaurant, great friendly service and good food. Sunday roast available in a smaller portion too.
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonHad a great meal here - Sunday roast and steaks are a must. The tenderest chicken I’ve ever had along with lovely veg and all the trimmings. Wish we’d had room for dessert as they looked mouthwatering. Will definitely be back to try them.
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonSon lives in Buxton whilst my wife and I live in North Wales. We came here for my wife's 70th birthday and enjoyed the food so much that we came back to celebrate son's 50th birthday. We all had Sunday dinner. I had beef the others had lamb. All were equally delicious. All of us plumped for key lime pie and although I personally do not usually have a dessert, it was very nice. The other two however were drooling over how tasty it was. Food and service were Excellent. Although not the cheapest restaurant food, the quality meant that it was well worth every penny. Thank You!
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonGreat place and fantastic steaks. Pre theatre dining at its best. Service, food and choice of beers all first class. Do not be disappointed make sure you book. Deserts looked lovely that were coming out but we could not manage one. Walking distance to the Buxton Opera House. Would thoroughly recommend.
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonFirst time in this lovely restaurant. We had gone early before the theatre. Food excellent. Good choice and good portion size. Service a little slow.
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – Buxtonexcellent: always is. excellent helpful and welcoming staff, great menu and outstanding food and drink: extremely good value for money
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonFrom a friend’s recommendation we dined at Baileys bar, food was lovely we both had rib eye steak cooked as requested and was delicious, the service is good, not too long to wait between starter and main, served with drinks in between. Entertainment followed the meal and we stayed at the table to conclude the evening, the atmosphere was brilliant, a relaxing enjoyable evening. I would highly recommend to anyone. Enjoy.
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonI reserved a table for 2 and we sat upstairs. Excellent service and we ordered drinks followed by 2 main courses. The Baileys chicken pie and vegetables (I was told) was very good. I had the Southern Fried chicken burger and a Baileys home made beef burger ( beef and chicken stack) on a ciabatta , coleslaw and cheesy chips. Really good and so filling ! 3rd visit to this restaurant and the food has been excellent each time. Certainly my favourite in Buxton. A pre theatre meal so we were early evening .
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonBooked a table only a day in advance and they very kindly arranged for us to be able to be seated downstairs as we requested. We both had fillet steak which was delicious and cooked perfectly. Best steak we've had for a while. The waitress who greeted us and looked after us most of the evening was wonderful (warm, friendly, good humoured) as were the other waitress and waiter. Live music was great to listen to washed down with some good pornstar martinis and old fashioned. Would definitely recommend booking.
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonVisited yesterday as we do on a regular basis but wont be returning after what I saw yesterday and keep seeing in restaurants/eating places.A KITCHEN STAFF LADY AS SHE HAD A BLUE BUTCHERS APRON ON GOING TO THE TOILET THEN LEAVING WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS...GREAT FOOD HYGIENE. MADE ME WANT TO BRING BACK WHAT I HAD ATE. NOT SAFE TO EAT OUT ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!
JD Wetherspoon Wyebridge House – BuxtonNice atmosphere. lovely wine menu. food was okay cheap enough very similar to weatherspoons. Told there was going to be a 40 minute weight but it came out in ten minutes ! they had run out of jackets and my prawns were overcooked but as i said you get what you pay for
The Railway – BuxtonI recently visited the Grouse with family and friends for my sisters 60th birthday. We were made very welcome and the food was excellent. A good night was had by all, and we will certainly be visiting again.soon.
The Grouse Hotel – BuxtonMy husband and I called in to The golden dragon on Sunday July 24th at 7-15pm. We found they did the a 6 course menu up until 7-30pm so decided to give it a try. The restaurant was very busy and although they apologised for the service it was just as quick as most restaurants. The meal consisted of chicken and sweetcorn soup, ribs, spring rolls, salt and pepper chicken wings and a choice of a main course and rice or chips. The last course was ice cream all for £8-50.Everything was well cooked and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We each had coffee and lager as extras and the bill was under £24 for the 2 of us. We will be returning for this early bird meal very soon.
The Golden Dragon – Buxtoni highly recommend the royal oak for good quality home cooking, friendly and very helpful staff
The Royal Oak – BuxtonIf you have children its best to avoid this unfriendly pub! Although they have baby changing and highchairs in the so called 'Family Room' we were recently asked to leave because our annoying children were laughing to loud!
The Old Clubhouse – Buxton
