The service was great , the food was wonderful

Lovely welcome & the menú was SO tempting - it was difficult to choose. All 4 of us really enjoyed three excellent courses, very good real ale & wine & soft drinks. Staff were delightful & plenty of them, happy to join in with jokes & teases. Surroundings are v pleasant - new outdoor gravelled area look v attractive when weather permits. Only because it was so very good (& if it were my business I'd want to know) do I mention 2 v small things...... my seat at round table for 4 was in a draught from Gents/Garden door (maybe a small screen?) & pepper pot delivered dangerously generous amounts of black pepper with only slight shake. It would be such a shame to ruin all the talent & hard work from the kitchen unintentionally. Really looking forward to eating at The Pheasant again soon even though we all travel an hour to get there. Many thanks & well done!

Really nice meal relaxed and didn’t feel like we’re being rushed Service was good and again without the pressure of some restaurants. In short just the right balance all round.

Premises nicely decorated. Food very good. Some waiting staff clearly not trained very well. Where we sat was rather noisy.

Had lovely lunch with a friend this week. Beautiful pub. We both had the set 3 course lunch The choice was very good and the food absolutely gorgeous. The staff are lovely and very welcoming . Will definitely return.

As usual, a great lunch with friendly staff. The Pheasant is our 'go to' local for a meal, so I'm sure we'll find an excuse to come back before much longer...

Great food and service. An enjoyable evening

Visited the Pheasant as a party of 12 for a birthday party. A great time was had by all. Good food, friendly service and comfortable surroundings. What more could we ask for? Plan to be back soon.

We began our evening in the beautiful refurbished garden were we sat enjoying our drinks whilst watching the sunset, the service was perfect, individualised and attentive, the local real Ales and Lagers were very nice. The choice of starters was varied to appeal to everyone, the dish I chose was delicious and piping hot. There was a great choice of main courses and the Wine list was extremely comprehensive, the wine that we chose was perfectly chilled and very pleasant. I chose the Duck for my main meal, it was very hot, well cooked and delicious. The service that we received throughout our meal was well beyond our expectations we will definitely return in the near future.

Great food and the service was second to none.

Still serve an excellent Sunday Lunch better than most we've tried. In fact the roast beef that my wife had was ''the best (she's) had in a long time.'' Just right for celebration of our Wedding Anniversary. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Young waitress was attentive, I am sure she will soon learn to insist to the kitchen special requests, ie: no gravy on my wife's main course and not need to be reminded about the water she ordered. Minor issues and we completely accept that everyone has to learn. Everything else was excellent and we will return soon.

Started the evening with a nice pint and and settled down in a lovley warm and freindly atmospere to study the menu whilst we waited for our freinds to arrive. i chose the scallops they were delicious and folowed them with the suet pudding that was equally as devine. the deserts were amazing i rounded off the evening with a coffee. nice freindly attentive staff.

The food was amazing and the service was first class .Defiantly worth a visit. Will be certainly be booking again .

Excellent food in lovely surroundings. The staff were all very pleasant and the food was very tasty. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. It's a cut above many pubs and we'll make it a regular I think.
