The food at the Pheasant is 1st class. The staff and the place is great. There is loads of parking spaces. There is a large choice on the menu. I will be returning.

Another enjoyable Sunday lunch at the pheasant. Tasty food and service very polite and friendly. Only niggle is that there should be the option to have and pay for two courses. Three is sometimes just too much.

First time at the Pheasant and we will definitely be going back. A lovely pub, in a wonderful location, with great facilities, very local to where we have just moved to as well. The service was excellent, the food was very good and very happy with the cost. Well done - agree with what others have said - time to dispense with the face masks!

Excellent food and service. It is now over six months since face masks stopped being mandatory in restaurants and pubs. The staff here are still wearing them. In my opinion they impede communication and ruins the dining experience. When dining out I enjoy normality and tend not to return to the establishments that continue with mask wearing when they are no longer required.

My brother took my husband and I for dinner on Thursday to celebrate my birthday. It was our first dinner in a restaurant for some time. Our dinner was first class in all respects and what was especially good was how polite, charming and helpful the waitresses were. My brother, who has eaten fine food around the world, was so impressed with the food and the service. Thank you very much to the chef and the staff.

Another excellent meal served by friendly staff on a sunny day!

It was a "Special" occasion, we try to have a number of those! Over the months that the Pheasant has been open, we have found the food, atmosphere and staff to be really special. I will not go into the menu, other than to say, our starters and main course were terrific, a genuine cut above the rest.

Once again our meal, this time for lunch, was excellent. The service is welcoming, friendly and professional whilst the food is of a delicious quality. We will be back

Delicious light lunch in the comfortable sunny dining room with a friend yesterday. We opted for a starter and a dessert - both beautifully presented and very tasty. Goats cheese soufflé then pear & almond tart. We’ll be back!

Wonderful Sunday lunch, food and service spot on and even happy to over cook their lovely beef for my pregnant daughter. Will be back again soon

We visited The Pheasant yesterday evening for a treat for my partner's birthday, and it certainly didn't disappoint. Some lovely choices to choose from on the menu, and so beautifully presented. The staff looked immaculate, and so polite and friendly. We'd visited the Pheasant before for drinks, but after having such a lovely meal we definitely will be returning.

This was our first time to dine at the pheasant. My wife and daughter truly enjoyed the lunch. Great food with one exception, I had the plaice - a little disappointing with very soft texture and little flavour. However my wife's beef suet pudding was delicious and my young daughter loved the bread and butter for her meal topped off with Chocolate ice cream! We will definately be back for an evening meal

A thoroughly enjoyable meal with my husband and son. The service was excellent. My son mentioned that it was the most 'dog friendly place he had ever been'.

An interesting menu, though I would have liked to see gluten free dishes marked. It saves staff having to ask the chef. The food was well presented and we enjoyed the dishes chosen. The staff were all very pleasant and the atmosphere was relaxed. This was my second visit in three months. The first was as part of a larger group when I was impressed by the efficiency of service and lovely food. I am hoping it will not be too long before the next visit.
