The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonSo happy to come back to the Pheasant. The food is still really good as good as it was before. Lovely new outdoor area. Staff really friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back again in the near future.
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonWe were really happy to return to the Pheasant after a long wait. the new owners have made it even nicer, inside and out, while retaining a similar style of menu and Chef Iqbal's Curry Night, which was as good as ever! My wife had the Halibut which was fantastic. The staff were amazing and the bill was very reasonable. We can't wait to return!
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonThank you for another splendid evening out at The Pheasant; Zoe and Martin make you feel truly welcome and well looked after. I went with my husband and parents to celebrate a slightly early Fathers Day last Saturday and we were not disappointed! The menu is seasonal and varies constantly; this allows for such creativity and excitement in the menu choices. I opted for the grilled goats cheese to start - the peaches complimented it beautifully and it felt so light in the mouth. My main was from the bar menu, and due to the slightly nippier day, I went for the Beef Bourguignon stuffed suet pudding - be warned there is a lot of suet pudding! A tad more than I could handle, but the beef was melt in the mouth with a rich, unctuous sauce and mouth watering suet pudding. My husband had the wild board sausages and after a sneaky try (what wife doesn't try her husbands food?) I can testify they are the best sausages I have ever eaten. The desserts were also top notch - my husband had the red wine jelly and strawberries and the flavour gave this amazing feeling of the joy of being a kid again, having jelly at parties mixed with the grown up fizz of red wine! Service was prompt, the waiting staff always happy to help and answer questions (I ask a lot of questions; I'm nosy!) and overall it is a brilliant dining experience. I highly recommend a visit!
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonWe have been fans of the Pheasant for years and were greatly saddened when it shut . We went on Thursday for lunch and were very impressed by the standard and range of the food . As others have said we will definitely be back!
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonFirst time here meeting a friend halfway between Bristol and Norfolk. Could have chosen several other pubs but really glad we picked the Pheasant Inn. Superb lunch with great menu choices food was perfectly cooked and presented. Very friendly and efficient staff. Nice interior styling and a lovely garden. We will revisit when we next meet up
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonAlways stop here en route to Leicester, have never been disappointed. Fantastic food, amazing staff, lots of parking in a lovely setting. One teeny suggestion (NOT a complaint in any way) is that there is no option for say sandwich or similar on lunch menu. Having said that, the chips are to die for!! Heartily recommend this quintessential thatched pub/restaurant.
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonThis is such a dependable restaurant, despite its changes, over the years. The menu variety and quality are the best for miles and we’ll worth the journey. The professionalism and friendliness of the staff are exceptional. There’s a lovely new outdoor area - a great viewpoint for the sunset or moonset. I’m just praying the new farmer has the good foresight to reinstate the associated runway as the restaurant is a favourite with the aviation community nationally.
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonFathers Day menu was great...loads of choice and everyone had great food. The service was excellent. Our granddaughter, aged 3, was served very quickly before everyone else as she was hungry - her food was great and promise of things to come. Nice to be back in a restaurant with a nice buzz of conversation!
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonOur Fathers Day lunch at the pheasant was excellent, lovely welcoming staff, comfortable setting, superb food, highly recommend going there for a meal/drink. We will be visiting again. Thank you all for a lovely time.
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonLunch 18th June. This was only our second meal out since Burns night last year as we have been shielding for 16 months so we were both very much looking forward to it. The Pheasant under new management certainly did not disappoint. All the team, with the lovely Zoe at the helm were welcoming, kind and attentive. They went out of their way to make us feel special and comfortable. I had looked at the menus online beforehand and there are so many delicious delights across three menus it made choosing tricky. The delicious bread, freshly baked each day is not to be resisted. My husband likes to think of himself as a bit of a creme brûlée connoisseur as it’s his favourite and he said this one was up there with the best...I agree. We both enjoyed the wines Zoe recommended along with the scallops, pork belly and steak. The refurb is tastefully done and social distancing well observed with ample space between tables. Highly recommended, we will return again soon. Only thing is, we discovered on the way home that neither of us had left a tip...both thinking the other had it covered sorry guys will double it next time. Thanks for a lovely day.
