This is the first time we have been since the start of COV19, so of course also since the new ownership, who have done wonders with the refurbishment but still appears in keeping with the age of the property. They have also realised that the previous hosts kept a fine menu, and in many ways seem to have kept with tradition but with their own interpretation. The choice and quality of food on offer for our Sunday lunch on 12/09/21 which was our 62nd Wedding Anniversary, was as we had come to expect from The Pheasant, 1st class, as was the service from all the staff. Our original booking had been for 3pm, but a phone call to ask if it was possible to get a time nearer to 2pm, received a sympathetic ear. We wish the new owners have the success their efforts deserve, and we will certainly be returning in the not to distant future

Fantastic fish and chips As a coeliac to find this on a menu is worth a drive to the pub anytime Service by waitress was excellent

The ‘new’ Pheasant Inn is much improved, a superb garden area, warm friendly service, varied menu, excellent food. It has become a favourite again after many years of mediocrity, or worse.

What an enjoyable lunch. Our first visit for a few years. Restaurant was bright and spacious. A really warm welcome. We are sure to return, recommend and bring friends. Well done.

We had a table in the garden on Wednesday evening. The meal was amazing, without fault. Excellent service, very quick and my sirloin steak was one of the best I’ve had.. delicious

Splendid meal on Sunday, last covers of the day. Only two dishes not available by 3.45, both mine! Didn’t detract from the experience at all. Unfussy but attentive service, reasonably priced and beautifully cooked Sunday lunches so congratulations to the re-born Pheasant which we have patronised for 34 years since moving to Raunds. Part of a 70th birthday celebration weekend, thanks very much

Having eaten at The Pheasant for almost 50 years, I have seen it under a number of managers. This week was the first time we have returned under the new management. It was pleasant, but I object to been referred to as 'You Guys', especially as we paid almost £50.00 per head. This sort of greeting I would expect in a fast food outlet ! I agree, we are of a 'certain age', but, in hopefully the quality restaurant you are trying to achieve there should be a certain standard of service. Food was acceptable, if not somewhat on the high side Refurbishment is good, and the outside eating area looked very pleasant, but there was a lack of 'atmosphere' rather stark ,cold and clinical Maybe we were unlucky and will certainly return again soon.

We’ve been three times over the past few weeks - twice for dinner which was very good, and once for Sunday lunch which I wouldn’t recommend. My one criticism is that the menu gets rather monotonous. I much prefer a small menu of things cooked well, but it needs changing regularly.

Really enjoyed our lunch with friends. Staff very helpful & attentive to my allergy issues. Like the new brighter airy look & feel to the place. Garden & car park smart and spacious Will be back - firm favourite.

As enjoyable as in the old days and much brighter decor. Thought Garden looked great and food was very good.

Dined at Pheasant, Keyston last night. Really disappointed to find no heating or even an open fire. Sitting in a cold bar and then the same in the dining room makes for an uncomfortable evening. The service was very poor. Waiting far too long for first drink to be served. New decor in dining room adds nothing to the atmosphere. The food was very good but some basic changes need to be made for this restaurant to be a success.

First time back to The Pheasant since it had changed hands. It was good to see that it was back to its old standards, the food was excellent and the staff were very good as well. The place has had a make over and it is now much brighter inside and a very good outside seating/dining area has been created. We had the set lunch which is very good value for money. I look forward to returning.
