Having eaten at the Overlander many times over the past few years, I can truthfully say, I have not had a better meal anywhere in the area! The staff are friendly, the meals are beautifully cooked and presented and my family and myself will be back again this year.
New Overlander Restaurant – TenbyWhen arriving at The Reverend James the place was as if it was in the country. its a small pub but with a lot to offer when myself and partner walked in we were greeted by a young bar man who recommended the bread of heaven bitter and for my lovely wife a glass of house wine. he showed us to the table and gave us time to look over the menu there specials board was a variety of classic and new dishes but the thing that caught my eye was the wild mushroom and goats cheese starter and my wife had a prawn and crayfish cocktail. they were served within minutes and was full of flavour not disappointing at all. then for main course I had no trouble ordering a full rack of pendering whisky ribs with a homemade bbq sauce which was divine a deep full flavoured sauce and my partner had the Caerphilly and leek stuffed chicken with a light red wine sauce and tasty peppercorn mash. after all that being impressed with the first two courses how could we resist a third we both decided to try the homemade apple and pear oat crumble with a vanilla ice cream which did not disappoint either. the waiter then brought us two coffees which completed our meal. i would say the atmosphere in the establishment was calm and inviting and would soon be paying them a visit back .
Reverend James, The – SwanseaFood Top Class. Service Second to none. Staff couldn? be any friendlier. I would recommend The Red Loin to anyone who wants great food in a proper country pub. A1.
Red Lion – Abergavennyvery new restaurant, but service was good and the steak excellent will be going back again.
Roadhouse Restaurant, The – WhitlandCalled in on the off chance and was absolutely delighted with a superb meal and equal hospitality. Well worth a visit and we shall be back
Mulberry, The – TenbyThis restaurant has won awards for its great food and the staff are always welcoming - it is always a pleasure to visit and linger. Take away is available - which is always of superb quality. It would be great if they could deliver too!
Caradmom – CardiffGood menu, taste and presentation of meals. Lovely location on the marina. Service lets the place down. Drinks on arrival not offered and staff seemed lacking in any enthusiasm or ability to see properly to needs of our quite large group.
Marthas Vineyard – TenbyI spent a very enjoyable evening here. My work colleagues were impressed with the food and service. Linda the owner is very funny and looks after her customers very well.
Fountain Inn, The – SwanseaBeing a complete foodie i travelled from Cardiff on the recommendation of a few of my friends 4 the weekend, Saturday we had 3 courses all of which were totally mind-blowing and just about managed to sleep it all off in time for my 2 course Sunday lunch, again amazing, the whole picture/ambience/service/value for money/ food/presentation/range and quality were of the highest order. 4 star food. I wasn't disappointed either, the food came out hot and on time and was both visually and sensually stunning. I would recommend it to anyone, and I'll be returning for sure!

La Lupa – CardiffI stumbled upon this restaurant following a visit to Blaenavon, the owners of this village pub were friendly and inviting. The food was amazing, the quantity and quality, its had that essence of traditional and home cooked. it also had such an easy and comfortable atmosphere. The waiters/waitresses were very polite. Whenever I? back in South Wales, I?l definitely pop back in. 5 Star Fantastic.
Butterflies – PontypoolFab food for a fiver, excellent choice, to liver and onions to steak and everything else on the menu, too much to choose from, that? just the specials check the full menu, it has to be one of the best ive ever seen spoiled for choice. Have a wander down I wasn? and I? sure you wouldn? be disappointed.
Waterloo Inn – NewportA really great "Indian" plenty of choice and freshly prepared food. The service is second to none, staff cannot do enough for you even during busy periods. Give it a try!
