Greyhound Inn – NewportA chance visit to Llangadog resulted in a most enjoyable lunch at the Red Lion. The menu was interesting with local flavour, the food was excellent and the house wine very good value. An enjoyable day out was turned into a memorable lunchtime experience.
Red Lion Hotel, The – Llandeiloexcellent value, kids friendly. not posh but clean. look forward to visiting again
Fontygary Inn, The – BarryThe food here is very good (the weekly specials, in particular, are exceptional), very friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere - especially in the winter with that roaring log fire!
Dyffryn Arms – Neathbrilliant- very generous portions -always piping hot and delicious-visited on numerous occasions-booking optional but advisable on Sundays and summer months especially- by far the best in the area
Nags Head Inn – Newcastle EmlynWhat a gem of a place, excellent food great atmosphere particularly liked Sunday night with live acoustic music
Illtuds 216 – CowbridgeCalled in on a Tuesday night & had a nice treat! The food was not your average Indian Curry house but presented almost as nouvelle cuisine. The staff were very helpful in aiding choice when asked, prompt & polite with it. We took our time & were never hurried at any point of the evening. Will go again!
Orissa – SwanseaWe make a point of going to this restaurant every time we visit Cardiff. And each time the restaurant is packed which speaks volumes in and of itself. I keep begging the owner to open up a Louis in Llanelli! The food is always excellent, always very good value for money and consistently excellent service.
The Louis Restaurant – CardiffI would definitely recommend this restaurant and class it as one of the nicest places to eat in the whole of Swansea with the added bonus of it being totally reasonable price wise. They have an excellent selection of wine as well as a great variety of tasty sounding mains to choose from. To my delight, they also had a large desert selection including fresh cakes and tarts. The place itself is very cosy and smart without being too posh and intimidating-theres french music playing in the background ever so softly to undermine the overall atmosphere. The waiting staff appears to be very friendly and attentive while not being too pushy at the same time.
Bouchon De Rossi – SwanseaThe quality of food is always good here. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is good too. Highly recommended
Caesars Arms – Cardiffi like going here for the food its very nice the cost is average, the service it great, theres entertainment there on the weekends i would book if anyone was going.
Bar Gallois – Port TalbotThe Indian cottage is a small but pleasing restaurant. The decor is modern, clean and done nicely. I thought The food was of a higher quality than the other restaurants or take aways in the area. When the bill came i was happy to see that it was only slightly more expensive than the average take-away prices for the area. The only negative is how small it is. But this shouldn't detract from how good the food is. I highly recommend the Indian Cottage for a great Indian meal with friends.
Indian Cottage Tandoori Restaurant – SwanseaHad a lovely Sunday lunch at the Duke of York. Food was homecooked and delicious and very reasonably priced. 10/10!
Duke of York Hotel – BridgendI would recommend this family restaurant to anyone, food is excellent and they also have a good menu for the kids, the staff are very pleasant and service is good I thought it was very good value for money, you certainly won't come away from here hungry, thanks boys. Julie.
