July 9th. Oh my, a wonderful experience at S&Vine. From Settle to Carlisle on the train. We walked 200 yds to S&Vine for a fantastic meal. A wow factor was the dessert, Pistachio Afragato with Tiramisu icecream with hot espresso coffee ☕️to drizzle. 200yds back to the train to home. A great day. See you all again. CxJ

What a lovely place to eat. The team were super attentive, friendly and on it. The food was great and every table was occupied giving the place a buzz and vibrant atmosphere.

We often eat here , the food is very good , nice menu to choose from and the food is always fresh and tasty . Great wine and cocktails too .Its always busy but service is quick .

As part of our day, travelling from Crewe to Carlisle by the steam train Blue Peter, we booked for lunch at Sage and Vine. It is diffiuclt to fault the food, service and value for money. Every single tapas plate was delicious with the crowning glory being the chargrilled pineapple with coconut icecream. Service was very friendly and enthusiastic at all times. As it was a mid week lunchtime, the restaurant was not full but with carefully chosen music the atmosphere was fine. Highly, highly recommended.

We brought our golf society to Mezzalunna after a recommendation. There were 16 hungry (and thirsty) men. The owner was a pleasure to deal with before we arrived and incredibly helpful. On the evening itself, we were slightly late due to us underestimating Silloth golf course, but the staff were very understanding. The service was impeccable from the moment we arrived. The food was brought out piping hot and all at the same time, even though it was clearly a busy evening. The food itself was excellent. I had a Canneloni which was top notch. Our starters were superb too. Everybody in our party were happy with their meals. The atmosphere was excellent with the other larger party joining in with our “Happy Birthday” rendition for one of our senior members. He was thrilled to have a bit of a fuss made of the occasion. All in all we couldn’t have been happier with our evening. Thank you very much to all the staff, they are outstanding, and contributed to a lovely evening. Top marks.
