Really enjoyed our recent visit to The Croft. We were a party of four (two adults and two young children) and had made a reservation for Sunday lunch. We were warmly greeted at the door on arrival and the member of staff took us straight to our table. We ordered and our food arrived promptly and looked great. The kids really enjoyed their meals (always a sign of good food as they can be pretty fussy!) and my partner and I thought ours were great too. Portion sizes were just right. Service throughout was attentive but not over the top. It was very busy that day, and the team did a great job keeping everything running smoothly. A very enjoyable visit and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Croft!

Went for pie night and wasn't disappointed at all. Had baked camembert for starters which was freshly cooked and the pies were the best ever. You could tell they'd been freshly made and not microwaved. The best steak and ale pie ever , very moist and my wife has the mixed vegetable pie which was great as well. No room for pudding but the Croft does the best double expresso in town. Hot , strong and small. Service as per usual was exemplary both by the chef and also the waiter. We're never disappointed with the Croft.

I’m a local & The Croft is my favourite place to go for coffee or lunch when I’m meeting up with friends, or just fancy getting out of the house. Always friendly service, lovely & clean & delicious food. Great choice of gluten free options (which is rare in Bourton!) and variations of the main menu rather than the usual boring substitutes. Lovely relaxed atmosphere but often buzzing too, choice of inside or outside seating & doggie friendly. I can’t recommend enough!

Enjoyed the food and the place

Limited menu, bangers & mash or burger & fries. Neither served with veg or salad. Having said that, the food is cooked nicely and the service is very good. In a nice setting, but tables are very close together so feels a little cramped. Found it a bit expensive, especially with the 10% service charge.

Great food and service!

This is a strange one - we have been coming to The Croft for years and years and I have many fond memories. In fact when it catered for 10 of us on the weekend to celebrate my 50th it was a cut above the other restaurant we went to in Bourton. However that was a long time ago and it is not the same place. In brief - the food was fine but never worth £83 for two of us where we shared a desert and had bread as a starter bottle of wine notwithstanding. That is just silly expensive. The restaurant itself was just off cold and I wish I had had a thicker jumper. The service was okay but the guy who I guess is in charge needs to take his paperwork elsewhere and not busy himself doing it in front of the diners. That was a bit crass and unnecessary. Sorry but I would love this place to be as awesome as it used to be. It just isn’t now. Overpriced and under delivering. A firm 3/5 all the way save the young member of staff who served us and gave it a really good go.

Excellent as always

What a nice place! I have been there many times, and I am sure that I will repeat as soon as I can. The food is delicious, but the good thing about the restaurant is the crew. They are kind and polite. The day we visited, the restaurant was full, but we didn't have to wait. If you are going to Bourton-on-the-Water, this is where you want to eat.

Esperábamos mucho más de este sitio, servicio tardío y poca variedad donde elegir. Lo mejor de largo las hamburguesas! La sopa de cebolla sin mucho sabor y las cervezas caras para no ser pintas. No volveremos, hay mil sitios más genuinos y mejores en los Costwolds, sin duda no merece la pena ni por comida ni por el restaurante en sí.

Really dissapointing meal . 3 of us, including a child. Child meal was great, burger and chips. However, we had a special of steak. The blue cheese sauce was icy cold, the chips were luke warm, the cooked tomato and mushroom were cold. Not ideal _ the salmon poke bowl consisted of unripe avocado, very cold clumps of rice, certainly not sticky, with radish and salmon. Certainly not what was expected. I'm afraid unlikely to go back

A lovely birthday breakfast for my Hubbie! Always have the Croft breakie. We all enjoyed it and were very full afterwards. Thanks x

Lovely dinner last night visited whilst staying at the Old Bank hotel. Very tasty food and friendly service. I had Haddock and my husband had the steak. The mulled wine was amazing. The atmosphere was friendly and buzzing with families and couples. Very good value food and food came in excellent time.

Enjoyed an evening meal and came back for breakfast. Delicious food. Very efficient and friendly service. Would definitely recommend but book to avoid disappointment.

Amazing starter which was sharing board. The mains were just as delicious too. Quite pricey, Nice friendly atmosphere. However at just before9pm we were the only ones there, the music stopped and it kind of made us feel we ought to leave, which I feel is not great when spending a lot on a 2 course meal plus a bottle of wine. Maybe something to bare in mind.....

Restaurant was pleasant and staff were really friendly , however the menu was not very extensive and definitely overpriced
