Great service and food as ever. Been several times and always same standard of service and food.

A lovely country pub serving excellent food. Friendly service and this was our third visit here, making the journey from Liverpool so worthwhile. The portion sizes -v- price is excellent value.

Excellent food and very friendly staff and environment . Food portions very generous and very tasty Highly recommended for lunch or evening meal .Good selection of beers and wines available .

Absolutely amazing, had the cheese and onion pie, best pie ever!!! Both my husband and I really enjoyed it, was so close to asking for a whole pie to take away,but im to shy,would highly recommend, will definitely be visiting again.

I visit the Plough once a month (and sometimes more) for our little book club which has been going for around 7 years. We normally sit in the bar side and it’s always so lovely with a nice selection of drinks. At least once a year we will have a meal as a group, this time we did so for one of our birthdays. As always the staff were super accommodating, and looked in on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was really good, and I had the Black Forest fudge cake…wow! It was so good.

Monday lunchtime, so fairly quiet. Service was attentive and waitress smiling and helpful. Large and small fish and chips were enjoyed by all. We’ll be back - they are trying hard to provide entertainment, events etc.

We were a group of three who enjoyed a superb Sunday lunch. The food was excellent and was piping hot when brought to the table. Booking on line was easy, the staff were very friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was pleasant and we thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience. We will be back

Always enjoyed coming to the Plough but was dissapointed with the change made to the Steak n Ale which now contains mushrooms and onions of which there was alot more of than actual meat in the slice I received. Please ho back to the old recipe. Also some of the meals where only just warm. Hopefully this was just a one off.

Three of us came here on a warm Sunday afternoon and the place was busy which is always a good sign. The food was lovey and the service was great, will definitely come again.

Friendly prompt service and great menu choices. My haddock was large and delicious and the chips were amazing. Other half had scampi and chips and was equally impressed - the only fault was no room for pudding! Many thanks

Staff and pub really nice, food ok without being anything special. Wife had the roast and said it was ‘nice’ but nothing more and myself and my daughter both had the burger which was over powered by the onion/gherkin which made it taste vinagery and soggy

Excellent meal. The new regime is a great success; we have visited 3 times since the change of management. Staff universally lovely, food good, generous and tasty. Yhey do a comparatively limited menu with skill. In fact my only concern is that the menu is a bit restrictive if we are going to become regulars, but maybe they will change it at intervals - here is hoping.

Excellent food but unfortunately the prices have risen in the month since we were there last time The Black Pudding stack as a starter was superb Good portion sizes too

After a period of losing some of its traditional reputation for good value food we were delighted with our recent visit and with the revised menu and sensible prices which put it back to how we remember it during it's hay day.
