I found the food a bit fancy - Iam more of an egg and chips man myself. However the ambience was great -ideal for wining and dining my B&B landlady

Briscola – MacclesfieldI enjoyed a very tasty Sunday lunch here. The decor is fresh and airy - not for you if you like character pubs, but you have to go a long way to get a better bite to eat. My husband is still raving about the chips in beef dripping (the best in Cheshire by all accounts). The chocolate brownie desert was heaven on a plate - served with delicious vanilla ice cream. There's not a huge range of vegetarian food, but at least it's a bit more varied than the usual microwave lasagne, and of a good standard. The use of fresh local produce was evident throughout the menu. We will definitely go back next time we are around Northwich.
Duke Of Portland – NorthwichAlways a Lovely Welcome Food Excellent Atmosphere Great Hope you enjoy the experience as much as we do See you there soon
Hoi Tin – WarringtonI just love this place. The Restaurant is however in Runcorn and not Widnes as described. The food is amazing. Ali, the head chef does a mean Rogan Josh / Kahari Curry and the best homemade chips in the world Mr McCann and Mr Chadwick can vouch for that. The prices are very resonable and I can recommend with confidence. We will be back
Tandoori Night Restaurant – RuncornVery relaxed and welcoming evening
A Table At Eatons – MalpasFood is very good. Don't have a liquor licence and so you can bring your own drinks., which is great. Small place and so, fairly intimate and decent atmosphere. Our preferred Indian Take Away on the Wirral...in my opinion much better than any of the larger places in Bromborough.
Alam Balti House – BebingtonRecently refurbished - Moroccan theme. Opulent and up market. Great wine list and good range of food. Lamb was fantastic. The owner and staff are very attentive and eager to do well. We've been there three times for lunch and dinner and the standard is consistently high. Its nice that they remember you-says a lot about the place. Good deals on lunches and early suppers. For no holes barred dinner its about £35/40 per head.
Pesto at Cabbage Hall – TarporleyEnjoy beautiful scenery, lovely food, relaxed atmosphere at this gem in Cheshire.
Pheasant Inn – ChesterDelgados is a small restaurant in the corner of the shopping arcade at Honiton Way in Penketh. It's only a small place, so booking in advance is a must as the high standard makes free tables a rarity. The expected Italian dishes appear on the menu alongside some interestingly different dishes. There is a specials board with many choices too. Excellent food, reasonably priced and competently served by friendly staff. Strongly recommended!
Delgados – WarringtonThis venue must be getting popular - we were asked on arrival whether we had booked or not, and it was early doors on a Monday evening! To be fair, the restaurant soon filled up, and whilst there isn't a huge choice on the menu, the food was absolutely terrific. I had the Lamb Henry, which was absolutely massive, and was so tender, it fell away from the bone - highly recommended. Will definitely be returning
Farmers Arms – NantwichThe food here is excellent. Staff are polite and quick to attend. It does get a bit loud sometimes, but when it's quiet, that? the best.
Mr Fus Restaurant – NorthwichHad a fab time here at the weekend with the girls - few cocktails and nibbles it was really good fun, good mix of people and the music was nice but not intrusive - we could actually have a conversation! In a bar!!!
Bollicini – ChesterNice place. Interesting local conversation. Do recommend!!!!!!!!
The Church Inn – KnutsfordGood friendly pub with great food
Coach and Horses Inn – Crewewe recently visited the wizard are were so pleased we found it! we had one of the best meals we have had for a very long time in an area which seems to be dominated by-middle-of-the-road Italian or Italianesque eateries. The staff were very charming and polite and nothing seemed too much trouble. We had some great scallops and duck spring rolls for starters followed by a barrel fillet steak that melted in the mouth with a lovely cheesy mushroom sauce & good creamy mash. The Seabass was also excellent and obviously very fresh with some tender local asparagus. The puddings were "to die for" - the best brownie i've ever had - and i've had a few! and a really good brulee rounded off our meal - all washed down with some very good house wines - altogether an excellent meal! we booked again while we were there and intend to return regularly. Keep up the good word Wizard and we will spread the word to those we think worthy!!
The Wizard – Macclesfieldbrilliant chef the food was delicious, nice atmosphere, papers to read, can sit outside as well
Blue Moon Cafe – ChesterFantastic!!!
Bollicini – ChesterI live about 100m from the pub and it is the perfect site location for me. I walk down the road get greeted by all the staff and eat the nicest food from a pub or restaurant I have ever had. The fine wines and beers are fantastic and sell really quickly. Saturday night dinings are the best but you must book early because they are full with bookings on that night! Fantastic place.
