Food was cooked brilliantly, so freshly cooked and full of flavour. Atmosphere was lovely and cozy and the wait times between courses was perfect, no one trying to bring you your main while you were still finishing your starter. Recommend the chicken supreme, filling and delicious.

Outstanding quality Sunday roast. Generous portion, well cooked veg and tasty gravy. Plus really good value. Same cost as a Toby but in a different class. Worth booking. Pudding also a bit good!

Booked a lunch for 9 of us for a colleagues retirement, easy to book, sent in details of the chosen lunches, had to adjust things a couple of times but this was no problem. Looked after by Chantelle on the day with helpful, prompt, cheerful and good service, all plates of food completely cleared :)

We visited here for a Sunday roast for my father’s birthday. The meal itself was lovely and we all enjoyed it. However, the service wasn’t great. We ordered drinks that took the best part of 20mins to come out (a pint of Guinness, bottle of red wine and a lime and soda)when they arrived they had forgotten the wine so had to go up to the bar to remind them and this took another 20mins. The food came out and was hot and we all enjoyed the roast. When it came to paying the bill we were advised there was an issue with the tills so to pay at the bar, we approached the bar and they told us they would come to us. We waited patiently at the table and were just completed ignored and not updated on what was happening. In the end we went back up to the bar and waited until we could pay. We couldn’t get a printed itemised bill and so ended up trusting that the amount was correct. We received no apology for the delay and just felt that the customer service could have been better. We understand systems go down but to then be ignored and not kept updated isn’t great customer service. It will put us off going here again and ruined the meal out for us as a family.

We had an excellent afternoon tea, the sandwiches, sausage rolls , scones & jam were all lovely! We hardly had any room for the delicious cakes.... Great price & service too. Definitely recommend & definitely do it it again!

We had a table for 4 on a Wednesday night at 6.30. Covid recommendations were in place. Our waitress was attentive and could not have been nicer! we had chicken Supremes, pie of the day and a ham & eggs meals. we all agreed they were by far the best meals we had ever eaten in this pub and certainly intend to return soon. The pub was a bit chilly.

Amazing fresh tasting food with quick service, defiantly one of the best meals we have had in a long time .

Good all round meal mains and starter

Lovely pub, delicious food and excellent service. Totally recommend. We went early on a Wednesday night and we were the only ones in the restaurant, which is why I dropped slightly in the atmosphere. I hope it’s bustling on a weekend, it deserves to be.

I came to the pub with my friends last night for a meal and a catch up. Excellent food and service. Very reasonable prices. We will be back!

Very enjoyable evening with friends. Good food & a glass or 2 of wine. Our choices from the Menu were - Pork chop, Sausages & Mash, Hunters chicken, Lasagna all were good. Very attentive & friendly staff - Will return

I booked a table for 14 abs left it quite late to do so. I called in and was happy to hear that they could accommodate us. The food was fantastic as was the service. Value for Lindy was great too. I will be booking again.

The food was really good but the service was shockingly slow - over an hour to come and we one of only 2 tables Also the serving staff were not aware of simple questions like soup of the day or pie of the day so had to go and ask making things even longer So disappointing as the food here is good and very reasonable

We had a lovely Sunday roast at The Codrington Arms. The food was delicious and the staff were really friendly. The dining area is lovely and spacious and the food was reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning.

It was my birthday so I celebrated it with 5 friends we all had a lovely time and the food was excellent and staff friendly. Would definitely view again soon.
