It was absolutely so beautiful afternoon tea we enjoyed to eat as we would love to carry on to eat but too full up, cosy pub to make us welcome, lovely staff.. thank you for let 20 of us staying longer I might go again afternoon tea for my daughter birthday soon By the way one thing it’s shame one toilet to share men n women uncomfortable….

Atmosphere was lovely and cozy and the wait times between courses was perfect, no one trying to bring you your main while you were still finishing your starter. Recommend the chicken supreme, filling and delicious.

Looked after by Chantelle on the day with helpful, prompt, cheerful and good service, all plates of food completely cleared :)
The Codrington Arms – Chipping SodburyWe visited here for a Sunday roast for my father’s birthday. The meal itself was lovely and we all enjoyed it. However, the service wasn’t great. We ordered drinks that took the best part of 20mins to come out (a pint of Guinness, bottle of red wine and a lime and soda)when they arrived they had forgotten the wine so had to go up to the bar to remind them and this took another 20mins. The food came out and was hot and we all enjoyed the roast. When it came to paying the bill we were advised there was an issue with the tills so to pay at the bar, we approached the bar and they told us they would come to us. We waited patiently at the table and were just completed ignored and not updated on what was happening. In the end we went back up to the bar and waited until we could pay. We couldn’t get a printed itemised bill and so ended up trusting that the amount was correct. We received no apology for the delay and just felt that the customer service could have been better. We understand systems go down but to then be ignored and not kept updated isn’t great customer service. It will put us off going here again and ruined the meal out for us as a family.

Our waitress was attentive and could not have been nicer! we had chicken Supremes, pie of the day and a ham & eggs meals. we all agreed they were by far the best meals we had ever eaten in this pub and certainly intend to return soon. The pub was a bit chilly.

The Codrington Arms – Chipping SodburyI booked a table for 14 abs left it quite late to do so. I called in and was happy to hear that they could accommodate us. The food was fantastic as was the service. Value for Lindy was great too. I will be booking again.
