We travelled from Shropshire to meet family here and it was well worth it! We received a lovely welcome and our guests thought the food was the best they'd ever had - especially the pies. The stickly toffee pudding was to die for! Wonderful to have freshly cooked food. We were well looked after and if we lived locally we would definitely make this a regular place to visit and to bring friends. Thank you to all the team.

Fantastic lunch at the Cod, food was great, was a busy lunch time and the staff were brilliant and the food arrived in good time! Highly recommend, but make sure you book its a popular place :)

A very big 'Thank you' to all the team at the Codrington Arms. I have sadly had to book two wakes with them, 6 months apart for family members and they have been so supportive. They have made sure that we have everything, including a vegan option and quickly cooked some extra food for us which was no problem. I am so appreciative that they made the whole booking process easy and I have had some lovely comments regarding the food and the venue from family and friends. I would definitely recommend them for any event.

The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. It was very quiet on the night we were there and the waiter didn't come tonus, other than to take the initial order and deliver the food. It's a shame as we would have ordered more drinks and puddings.

We visited on Wednesday 19th Feb for the burger meal deal. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious. Both burgers were cooked well and presented nicely. The only improvement would be to have more choice of burgers in the burger deal.

First time and was not disappointed, Not far from us but overlooked. Not any more looking forward to a visit soon. Food fantastic, service brilliant, in bewteen dishes good.

Service was fantastic - all the team including Tracey was so so good. Food was incredible. Great portions and tasted amazing. Can’t recommend highly enough - we will definitely be back.

We visited on Friday 31/01 with family, booked earlier that day online, which was easy and they were able to accommodate our time slot, we arrived and were shown to our table, food and drink order was taken and food arrived, staff were attentive and checked all was ok. We enjoyed our meal that much we booked for Sunday dinner 2 days later and again that was faultless, we were able to tak the dog in with us too which was good. Food again was exceptional and we are without a doubt going to visit again. Great place :)

Superb food, beautiful venue, friendly and efficient service. Have eaten here several times, or simply just poped in for a drink. Always good...evening menu, Sunday lunch, deserts & great selection of kids meals. (Even accommodated a macaroni cheese for my son during Sunday lunch service, as he doesn't like roast dinners) Perfect balance, a cozy and homely environment but with food that goes above and beyond to give it that special touch

Food was delicious and really good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful. However as reported in other reviews, we unfortunately also found the restaurant rather cold which was a bit of a shame. Please turn the heating up.

When we arrived there was a hen party just finishing up so we were put near the door away from the party but it was a freezing night so cold when the door opened. After the hen party left we asked if we could move and the staff were happy to relocate us. The food was very good, as always and very well priced

Had a lovely roast this Sunday. The ingredients were of a high quality and the meat we so tender that it fell apart. The only small issue that we had was that the meal could have been hotter. However, extra gravy warmed up the veg. This may be down to the restaurant being so cold. We had to keep our coats on to stay warm. We will definitely be back.

Had Sunday lunch here and both my roast and my wife’s were superb, cooked perfectly with vegetables just right, not over cooked but with a bit of “bite”. Portions were generous and we enjoyed a lovely Malbec to accompany the meal. It was also good value for money. Would recommend highly.

Excellent food and excellent service from the young waitress

We really enjoyed our meal, only comment is that the mash was a bit lumpy.
