Popped in for dinner on Saturday night . Large carpark, nice decor and a lovely big garden. The food was lovely - very hard to find a nice salad but my partner was very a happy - I had the ploughmans and it was huge - no room for pudding but they sounded amazing.

Great sunny beer garden with a swing and slide set for kids. Lovely service and the gluten free options made my wife and me who are both coeliac feel normal again. The roast had gluten free gravy and Yorkshire’s and we added pigs in blankets and the cauliflower & leek cheesy bake which were also stunning. Great value for money, we will be back very soon.

We went to the Codrington Arms 26.05.24 for lunch. We had turkey and gammon Sunday lunch. The meals were really lovely, the meat well cooked and tender and the vegetables were also well cooked and everything was hot. Service was great and friendly and will definitely be going back. Would heartily recommend this venue for a great meal.

We had lovely service and food yesterday here. 2 roast beef, 2 roast gammon and a chicken burger and everything was hot, delicious and plentiful!!

Booked a table for 4 plus 1 child. Good menu. My daughter has intolerance to rapeseed so the lovely waitress was very helpful to chat with the chef to make sure nothing contained rapeseed. The chef made a separate sauce as he noticed there was rapeseed in the sauce they use. Unfortunately 20 minutes after leaving my daughter was very poorly, the same as all her other rapeseed attacks she's had It comes on so quickly. We think maybe the potatoes or something else on her plate contained rapeseed as it's a very difficult allergen to detect in ingredients as it is known by many other names. We understand it's not a known allergen and the chef tried, but was told her food was rapeseed free. Just wanted to let you know in case anyone else has the same problems. My dinner unfortunately was greasy and there was more batter on the goujons than fish. Which is a shame. My son and his girlfriend had a burger which they thoroughly enjoyed! We mentioned the greasy dish and had a refund which we appreciated. Thank you! This isn't a complaint just wanted you to be aware of your ingredients.

First visit to The Codrington Arms. Great value Sunday Roast as portions were generous and meat was so tender. It was served piping hot but gravy was a bit bland, which was a shame as roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding were excellent. Service was very slow between starter and main course (waited over an hour) but the pub was busy and the staff were polite and helpful. The wine glasses didn't look very clean which put me off a bit but it was just water marks which wiped off with a serviette. Our table was a bit too near the door so it was slightly draughty so I'd opt for a table away from the bar and in the main part of the pub if I went again.

I visited twice in quick succession recently, once for a breakfast with a friend on the Saturday and then again on the Monday with my wife to take advantage of their special 'Pie, Pud and Pint' offer. The pub itself manages to preserve its 'village pub' feel - so much nicer than the more corporate chain pubs in the near vicinity in Yate. The staff were friendly, the prices reasonable (the Pie offer was great value) and the food on both occasions was excellent. Overall a very good experience and we'll definitely be back!

Visited Sunday 19thFeb for Sunday lunch. I had roast gammon and my wife had turkey. Food and service very good, hot and tasty with good selection of veg. Yorkies to die for. Bit disappointed with Belgium waffle desert however, bit heavy and stodgy. On the down side it is very difficult to access the building with a wheel chair as there is quite a steep slope to negotiate with an outward opening door at the top of the slope.

First visit to the Codrington Arms for food. I had heard about it through social media and a few friends. We had the beef Sunday lunch and it was delicious! Beef was so tender with really tasty homemade gravy. Hands down probably the best Yorkshire pudding I’ve ever tasted. Everything on my plate was delicious. Definitely returning and will highly recommend. Well done guys

First time visit to Codrington Arms and we would definitely go again. The food was delicious and big portion sizes. The staff were lovely, my friend has dairy free and the staff offered dairy free alternatives for her. We were celebrating my friends birthday and they had a dairy free dessert already prepared for her along with a birthday candle in the dessert. So thoughtful and a wonderful gesture.

Polite staff, prompt service and the beef on the Sunday lunch was delicious, melt in your mouth. Highly recommend

It was our first visit on Sunday, I had searched online somewhere to meet friends for a roast. This place did not disappoint! Lovely food, generous portions and the kids enjoyed a healthy size roast too. Will definitely be recommending to friends as well as returning
