The Black Horse – ChorleyGreat food, very well cooked with obvious skill and care by the chef's, friendly helpful staff who are always smiling. Even on a busy evening the food was delivered in good time and cooked perfectly. It is great to see such quality in an area that until know has been a bit low on high quality places to eat.
The Railway Tavern Euxton – ChorleyA fantastic pub and restaurant. I love it!! At last a great place to eat in our area. Keep up the good work.
The Railway Tavern Euxton – ChorleyThe Railway is a really great place to eat and drink. The food is always superb, locally sourced and cooked fresh. The Sunday Roast must be the best in Lancashire-it's outstanding! Just what Euxton and Chorley needed!!!
The Railway Tavern Euxton – ChorleySuperb menu. Efficient, friendly service. An atmosphere perfect for conversation, chilling out and savouring every mouthful of their delicious, unadulterated food. A truly scrumptious experience, to be highly recommended.
The Railway Tavern Euxton – ChorleyThis is a GREAT restaurant that I would highly recommend. The price is higher than average for the area, but don't let it put you off as the quality of food you receive is excellent. The staff are very friendly, and the chef comes to speak to you after your meal, which is a refreshing change. 10/10 - Keep up the good work.
Truffles – Chorleyhad Sunday lunch here and was the best Roast I have ever tasted, we have already booked for valentines day and will be telling our friends how great it is. The best food for miles around and friendly polite staff make it a great all round experience, I have even put reviews on 3 websites, which i never normally do!
The Railway Tavern Euxton – Chorley3 of us had Sunday lunch here, there were only 6 other diners in at the time.2 of us ordered starters, good food but 25 minutes from ordering to arriving at the table. From clearing the table after the starters, we waited another 35 minutes for the mains (only another 4 diners in by now so they can't claim to be busy!). I had ordered a cheese pie dish but found that I had been given a turkey pie. I asked for the correct food, received an apology, 25 minutes later I got my lunch. The manager apologised again and didn't charge me for my main course but by that point the occasion was spoiled. We will not be going back.
The Railway Tavern Euxton – ChorleyWe celebrated my wife's birthday with a meal at the Railway and left fully satisfied. The attentive and friendly staff pre-empted our every need and the food more than met our expectations & appetites. To summarise: Quality, freshly cooked to order selection with high standards at a truly competitive and favourable cost. Excellent!
The Railway Tavern Euxton – ChorleyI have been eating at The Original Farmers Arms for many years, I have always found the food and service very good. On 4th Jan 08 I went to celebrate my wifes birthday. The food was served within 10mins of ordering, for the meals ordered this was almost impossible. I had Duck and my wife had Sea Bass, The Duck it was over cooked and tough and the Fish was also over cooked. The veg was a tasteless mush. The service was nonchalant. We had arrived at 8pm had one drink each, ordered and ate our meals and was back home, 10 minutes away, by 9pm. A poor evening. I willNOT be going back.
Original Farmers Arms – ChorleyVisited the Plough with friends on 18 Jan 2008. First class meal yet again. Staff very friendly and helpful. The best menu I have ever seen. We will be back again.
Plough Inn – ChorleyALGHERO, is a great restaurant, the staff are very helpful and polite, as for the food, the food is the best around, the kitchen is open so you can watch your meals be prepared, with a great open fire the the center of the restaurant, we go midweek and weekend never been disappointed
Alghero – ChorleyWe have eaten at New Seasons several times in 2007, finishing the year in style with them on New Years Eve. The food has been exceptional on every visit and the service has been excellent. The dishes are all freshly cooked, but we have never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time before we could eat. We have recommended the restaurant to all our friends and will continue to do so.
Seasons – ChorleyMy wife and I made our first booking over Christmas and thought we'd give seasons a go during its busiest period, the food was average and lacked presentation, I ordered the afghan lamb shank and my wife had the fusilli pasta we both noticed that the pasta was exactly the same as was on the day menu and was bland to say the least, no Parmesan was offered and the garlic bread that we had ordered turned up ten minutes late, as for my afghan lamb it was meant to be served with rice which again was served 5 minutes after the main meal. It seems seasons is trying a little too hard to be a quality bistro and sometimes ovelooks the golden rule.
Seasons – ChorleyMyself and a friend tried the Railway for lunch as we heard it had changed hands and had a new menu. I had the steamed steak pudding with tarragon mash and carrots, and my friend had the fish and chips. Both meals were outstanding, tasty and beautifully presented we were both impressed. We especially liked how the menu states where the produce has come from, all local, brilliant! The pub has a cosy inviting atmosphere and the service matched the food, excellent. We will definitely be going back.
The Railway Tavern Euxton – ChorleyGood food but poor service. Asked for me and my pregnant wife to be moved out of a cold corner that was near the coat room only to be told by the manager that there was no more tables available. The empty table we asked to be moved to was still empty over one hour later!!
Verdes Restaurant – Chorleyfood was poor, and chef appeared to be drunk and loud almost interfering in our family outing, service was excellent and the head waiter was very hospitable it would be worth going back just for him.
Seasons – ChorleyMy partner & I have dined at New Seasons several times & have always thoroughly enjoyed it. When I needed to organise somewhere for a work meeting I could not have imagined how perfect New Seasons would be. They have a room upstairs which is fab - beautifully decorated with a roaring fire (just what is needed on a cold December night). The staff were attentive whilst allowing our meeting to go uninterrupted and the food was exquisite - all my work colleagues commented on what a wonderful place it was. The owners are incredibly helpful and I would have no problem with recommending New Seasons to anyone!
