Great food and great service as always

I chose to eat here for our 20th wedding anniversary as previously we have really enjoyed our meal. On this occasion my cheese and onion pie tasted odd as the pastry had a sweet taste, I brought this to the attention of a member of staff and she raised it with kitchen who said it was the same as normal. The chips were also frozen. I was offered a coffee or dessert but I did not want one just a redress to my complaint. At £14 I feel it was expensive as I couldn't eat it all.

Absolutely beautiful meal at The Red Pump Inn yesterday. Can't fault a single thing! Starters were delicious and the Sunday Roast was beautiful- lamb cooked to perfection. Superb, friendly service too. Our first visit but won't be our last!

The Three Millstones restaurant is usually quite busy but never feels crowded and noisy. It has a nicely varied menu and the food is very good - more Good Food Guide than local 'gastropub'. The wine list has a good range of largely New World wines at fair prices. If you liked the Three Fishes, I think you will like the Three Millstones.

Went for Sunday Lunch whilst staying in the attached accomodation. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, fantastic food, reasonable value for money and great service. Thouroughly enyoyed it. Breakfast was superb also!

It was our 34th wedding anniversary, and James, and Maisie really looked after us. The food is lovely.

We were made to feel very welcome, the food was ok but not the best steak we have ever eaten. the car park needs some attention as I ran over a large stone and have split the front skirt of my car,

We had a table for 4 on Friday lunchtime. Two of us had pie of the day which was lamb and mint. It came in a pot with puff pastry topping and was extremely tasty with the lamb cooked to juicy tenderness. One of our party had the sirloin steak which I understand was excellent and the other had the fish pie which was quickly eaten and said to be very good. Food was fab and although the chips were good, I've had better ones elsewhere. The staff and service were faultless. The pub is in a lovely setting with great views and outside tables although it was too windy for us to eat outside on the day. It was surprisingly quiet in the restaurant with only two other tables occupied. Aside the chips there is nothing I would change and will definitely return.

The food is excellent and value for money. Service excellent and very friendly staff. I don't think you would find a better place to eat.

We had a very enjoyable time on Sunday 18/08/2019 for our Ruby Wedding celebration with our daughter and her husband. We were made to feel very welcome and special. The staff were very attentative and food excellent. A very special place.

The Steak is awesome!

We booked online for Sunday lunch. The restaurant was busy - as expected- so there was a slight delay before the main course arrived. We didn't see this as a problem, as we don't go out to eat if we are in a rush. More importantly, all the staff were excellent and clearly well trained in providing good service. As for the food, we could not fault a thing- perfectly cooked and presented. We will be back asap!!

I am afraid we didn’t have a very good experience. Visited for a late Sunday lunch. Staff were friendly and took our order. Starter arrive which was ok but after an hour we had to chase up the main course. There was a mix up in the kitchen for which they apologised and they took the main courses off the bill. Staff should have realised we had been waiting much sooner. Very average

We decided to go to the red pump to celebrate a birthday, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. The steaks were as good as expected and we will certainly be back !

as always food and service second to nothing in the area, some other local places seem to be forever in the news ,but this is the best in my opinion for a lot less moniey than others

Stayed at red pump inn as we were attending a wedding. Staff were amazing , looked after us the 3 days and nights we were there. Yurts are luxury, even had there own little heater. Pub cosy and comfortable, no complaints about food, well presented and tasty. Couldnt of asked for a better 3 days. Fran the owner was great made sure we had everything we needed and nothing was to much trouble.
