Lovely fresh food with a good choice of food. Staff very helpful and friendly. Only downside is the. Coffee,just tastes awful. Please change your brand as it's too bitter. This has been like this every time.

I’ve eaten here a few times over the last year or so. The food was tasty but the service was disappointing. We were told it would be a 40min wait for food when we ordered but the waitress wrote our table down incorrectly so we ended up waiting a lot longer. After a complaint the food arrived quickly!

Eaten here many times over the last 2 years or so and recommended it often to others. I have been disappointed with my last 2 visits. I recommended it for the 2nd year running as a Christmas meet up with 9 friends, we booked, we selected our food well I advance but once seated we waited for well over an hour for our food. It was busy and we were offered free hot drinks in recompense. Fine, good service resumed. Yesterday I ordered an open chicken sandwich, the chicken was disgustingly rubbery, I left almost the entire meal as delivered to table. I was once again offered a hot drink in exchange for a poor meal. It didn't wash this time. My friends reported her quiche was delicious. Time for new venue.

Excellent food and service from the lady who seated us and the lady who took the order. Abit let down by the lady small with long dark hair who bought the food. She disappeared without asking if we required sauces etc to the point I had to go and find some and she did not return to see if we wanted extra drinks etc even though she did appear at the end after we had paid to clear our table. Needs to learn that good service should mean returning sooner not just plonking food down and moving on

Yet another amazing brunch was enjoyed. It has been such a joy to watch “Skylark” grow into such a fantastic business while never losing its charm or enthusiasm. A truly lovely place that I love visiting whenever I can. Such a great place for eating, socialising or even to just to grab a takeaway, go and discover it for yourself, it will not disappoint ⭐️

It was a busy day for the Barn, 40 odd minutes for the soup. We were warned on this but it was not hot. I mentioned this to the staff, who are always good. A one off I’m sure

Booked in advance. Greeted with a friendly smile. Was seated and orders taken efficiently. Food fresh, hot and more important tasty. Atmosphere was perfect. Will be back for sure

Lovely atmosphere. Service was friendly but somewhat slow even though it was not particularly busy. Had to grab a persons attention on more than one occasion. Cake, this time, wasn't great. Seemes like it had been frozen over the festive period and didn't taste particularly nice. Lunch however was delicious and the Sunday roast look delicious.

We have had several breakfasts and lunches at The Barn. Yesterday's breakfast was, as usual, delicious. Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit.

Enjoyed our lunch immensely. The food was great and the service was really good, nice friendly staff. Definitely recommended.

I have eaten from breakfast menu for a number of times and the odd lunch meal with no problem. However my friend and I booked for a lunch meal Monday this week which I was extremely disappointed with. I ordered beer battered fish and chips which arrived lukewarm and very quickly got cold. The chips were disgraceful. My meal appeared to have been heated by microwave (not fresh) hence got cold quickly. The four drinks we ordered were also substandard as above. I am sad to give this negative review but trust it will improve your services.

Excellent food.

We didn't eat here as we had booked but on arriving we discovered there was only 2 veggy options ie a cold sandwich and a cold salad There was no hot vegetarian option (bar soup). It was disappointing so we left. One of the staff was helpful saying the menu was changing in the new year to offer more veggy options, of course this didn't help us today. The tart of the day had salmon in too. The place is lovely and staff friendly but poor in food options for vegetarian even more so if your vegan!

Five stars for the food and drinks, staff are very friendly and helpful. There was a pleasant festive atmosphere and lunch was excellent we had the turkey club sandwich which was delicious and very filling. It’s becoming a regular venue for us coffees and cake as well as lunches . Happy new year to everyone.

My partner and I have eaten at The Barn many times for full meals as well as the quick coffee and cake stop. The food quality, taste and execution is consistently high. The staff are always welcoming and friendly even under the pressure of a full on service. We recently had the the turkey roast and it was impressive and great value. (Well done chefs). I highly recommend The Barn to everyone I know. Looking forward to our breakfast in the next few days. Thank you guys, keep it up!

Have had lunchtime meals here with friends, afternoon tea and coffee and cake. Always been amazing quality food, nice seasonal choice and really good service (rare nowadays in many places) Sunday 14 th I booked four adults, myself Mum and two dear neighbours from Hertfordshire who we have known for many years. We all had roast Pork, two were small portions for the 85 year olds, and two normal portions. Great to have that choice for people, we were all more than satisfied. Nice variety of veg, fab gravy, all hot and promptly served but pleasant engaging staff. We finished with Pavlova, which also was full of flavour and looked very festive. Our visitors were thrilled with our choice of venue and very appreciative of our choice of The Barn. Thankyou all for making four people very happy. Merry Christmas
