We have been visiting The Barn cafe for a few weeks now Firstly the staff are very welcoming and friendly My husband who is a very fussy eater rates this as his top breakfast in Colchester Loves the succulent sausage on the Barn breakfast It can get very busy so l'd recommend you book a table

The coffee and food delicious especially the scones. It is a very inviting cafe ,in warmer times it is lovely to sit in the outside area.recommend it highly.

The duck was fantastic large fresh cod and chips and a quiche full of flavour. Desserts did not disappoint either. Roulade, ginger icecream, lime cheesecake and enormous walnut cake. Book or you will moss a table at this popular restaurant.

Would recommend and return for a visit.

The food was a bit delayed this time unfortunately, which was surprising as I had preordered all of our breakfasts. They were very busy so I do understand. Booked already for our next visit. It was really busy which was great to see, so if you are going make sure you’re not rushing because the waiting staff were doing the absolute best they could and they worked very hard, but with so many people things were a little slower! However, not the fault of anyone! Cannot wait to come back again!

Coffee takes a while, but it’s worth the wait when it does get to you. The staff are always freiendly. The restaurant is always clean and tidy. Highly recommended

As always the food was excellent it arrived quickly without any issues, the portion sizes are great and the food itself very tasty. The staff are also excellent, very attentive but not over bearing. We will be returning in the near future and would highly recommend this place to others.
