Great food, great service

Had a delicious Breakfast, I had to share with. My daughter as I have a digestive condition, it was so yummy , fresh , obviously locally sourced, & freshly cooked , we will definitely be back for breakfast We also bought some delicious cake for later and wow absolutely gorgeous, so moist , I got the triple layer cake would highly recommend, can’t wait for our next visit barn plants is my favourite nursery, it has been since I moved to Colchester 4 years ago and am yet to find one more friendly, I love its family run and everyone is so helpful, & knowledgeable, wish I could give this place 10 stars

We often visit The Barn for breakfast. Its a lovely clean, appealing and atmospheric venue. The staff are lovely and the food choices and quality are excellent. Eggs Benedict top notch! Absolutely recommend this place and the garden centre in general.

My favourite place for birthday lunches and other special get togethers. Service is good and the food too. The ambiance helps too.

Can't stop going to this place for breakfast! The avocado and eggs are superb. Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Food is always amazing

I often bring my wheelchair bound Mum here to shop and enjoy lunch. Never Less than excellent . Plants are very healthy and a good selection. Bird food is often purchased. Even home wares, clothes and cards will tempt us. However lunch in the restaurant is a highlight. Short menu, but everything is delicious and we always say that we feel we’ve had great value for money. Coffee is particularly good, as are the wide selection of cakes. Highly recommended

Cannot fault this lovely restaurant. All the staff were so very friendly and helpful including the staff in the garden centre. A special thanks to the lady helping us choose a tree, Our Brunch was delicious. Thank you. This is now my top choice for local garden centres.

Definitely one of the best breakfast in the area, if not the best, with great service, highly recommend this place

This is my second lunch at The Barn - the first being just before Christmas. This time we sat in the sun and it was glorious. The food is fantastic (we tried the tart of the day - spicy salmon - and the omelettes, both of which were delicious. Special mention to the amazing chips though, that were crispy and fluffy in all the right places!). The service is so friendly and helpful and down to earth. The drive to The Barn is really pretty, making it a perfect lead-in to the loveliness of The Barn itself. This is definitely becoming a firm favourite!
