Wonderful food, great service & lovely attentive staff. The pork roast was delicious. Can't recommend this restaurant highly enough Thank you, we had the best time. We were a party of six & everyone enjoyed their food

As always, Sunday roast was excellent. Amazing cooking on the meats. We had Pork, Beef and Turkey. Quantity of meet is also excellent! Sides were very good also; nice roast potatoes, good veg, and amazing cabbage. Would be nice to see a larger selection of desserts, but cannot fault the qaulity of those we had. Definitely our favourite place to visit for Sunday Roast in the local area, and I'm sure we will be back again.

We had a meal on a Saturday Evening, the food was very nice, my only complaint is the soup did not come with any bread, I know there were croutons, but not the same as a nice piece of crusty bread and butter . On on whole very enjoyable meal with nice staff

Sunday Lunch. Wonderful, varied menu but we went for beef and pork. More than enough meat and the quality was first class. Lovely vegetables,roast and new potatoes. The staff looked after us very well. I have no hesitation in recommending this place and we will certainly be back.

Sunday lunch again, last week we left early as I felt ill - not their fault. So I had the pork and lovely it was with proper crackling. Husband had turkey, yum. A real highlight were the veg, great mixture well cooked. We took home a doggy bag of the meat, neither of us is a big eater, 500g!! Highly recommend.

My husband and I met up with our daughter ,her husband, granddaughter and partner at the Miners on Saturday. The food was excellent as it has been on previous occasions. Service, staff and atmosphere were all exceptional. Thanks to everyone.

Party of 6, took visiting family for lunch on Thursday 18th July. Food was a little long in being served, fortunately on this occasion we were out for a leisurely lunch and the food was definitely worth waiting for. Presentation and taste did not disappoint, outstanding . Those providing the service to table were cheerful and pleasant.

We often go out for Sunday lunch when on a caravan trip so we have lots of pubs to compare with. Our Sunday roast at the miners was up there at the top. The roast potatoes were the best we’ve had in a pub and the meat served on a board was a great idea. We both had pork and it was perfect as was the green veg and red cabbage. We asked for and were given extra gravy. I can only give 2/5 for service because the very young team need a lot more on the job training. We had to ask for them to take our order and had to get our own dessert menu. When our plates were taken away the waitress slopped pieces of fat on the table and left them there. There was bits of food lying on the floor of the eating area. A pity the service didn’t match the quality of the food.

Had Sunday lunch, have also had 2 other mid week lunches recently. First the mid week meals were great, particularly as the 2 days had different options on the menu. Sunday lunch was better than average. My beef was a bit dry but husband's turkey lovely. Veg needed a couple of mins longer but pots and Yorkshire lovely.

Staying locally so looked up recommended pubs for Sunday lunch & this place stood out with it's good reviews & it certainly lived up them.One of the best roasts i've had & the young staff are amazing

A very tasty Sunday lunch, served quickly by pleasant, young staff who checked if we were enjoying our meal. The Beef was tender and plentiful, vegetables well cooked. I do think they need to tweak the gravy.

Lovely place food fantastic. Great table with plenty of room around it unlike some places where you are all squashed in. Went for a Sunday roast which comes out on a butchers board for you to carve your own meat food was excellent and service brilliant.

Booked table family dinner. Great choice of locally produced food. Steaks were extremely good quality and value. Well presented. Traditional pub with great atmosphere and charm. Impressed with young waiting staff who were most attentive. Had 2 different dishes all very tasty.
