Wow best food I have eaten in a pub for a while. Excellent ranger of food and prices. We stayed over in our motorhome. Definitely recommend the five chocolate desert. Will definitely be back.

Had a one night stay as we were in the area mountain biking. The whole experience was great, service was friendly and super efficient, beer excellent and food was superb. We ate on the Monday evening which was ‘Half price Monday’, the quality remained very high and was frankly unbelievably fantastic value. Our room was spotless with fluffy towels and was a spacious family room. Breakfast was also first class with a good fresh and plentiful selection with excellent local produce cooked with real care. We were also offered good secure storage for our bikes which for those interested is a real bonus. All in all an excellent place to stay, Thankyou Miners team!!

We had the Sunday roast which was lovely. The beef was very tender and the vegetables were cooked so that they weren’t soggy. The waiting staff were all pleasant.

We called into The Miners on a Friday, which was unusual because we normally have Sunday Lunch here if we book, but the meal was lovely. My husband had the boar burger whilst I had the haddock. We both enjoyed the meal and would highly recommend The Miners.

Arrived early for a 7pm reservation, table not ready so we were asked to wait which was not a problem, 3 other parties arrived after us also for a 7pm reservation, not happy that 2 of these parties were seated before us. We were eventually seated at 7.15pm and placed our order, food did not arrive until 8pm following us asking where it was! Food was ok, but service and organisation not up to scratch I’m afraid, we will not be returning.

Lovely evening at The Miners, Sling. Friendly staff & delicious food. We had to wait for a little while for our table, but staff kept us updated & cleared the table quickly when the previous customers left.

Four of us for Sunday roast on 20th October. Outstanding in every respect. Service excellent, food delicious, and the chefs went out of their way to produce separate vegetable dishes for my wife who can't eat onions. We can't praise the whole team highly enough

Wow, wow, that's what my wife said for the first 5 minutes when our food arrived! Great, food, great service and great price. What more can I say ? Oh yes defo recomend and will defo be returning!!

Excellently cooked and served local food at good prices (esp on Monday night), lovely atmosphere, very pleasant, friendly and efficient staff. What more can I say, except highly recommended.

The miners is simply the best restaurant around for Sunday roast. The butchers board comes with a lovely selection of veg, boiled and roast potatoes and Yorkshire’s and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The miners is great for non Sunday meals as well - it uses local produce, is good quality and the staff are attentive. We’ve not had a kitchen for several months whilst doing a renovation and the miners is the only pub where we go every week without fail.

Wonderful Sunday lunch as usual. Could not fault it. Everything fresh and delicious and served very hot. Would thoroughly recommend.

Absolutely incredible sunday roast, a joint each to carve as you like. My only moan is about the fact you have to sit out the front with a dog, this the four for atmosphere. The four for the food is purely based on the gravy which was sadly very thin and tasteless, but the food stands on its own merit. Highly recommended!

We found this place purely by accident and were so impressed we've been back several times since. The staff are welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. The food is delicious, well prepared and beautifully presented. The menu changes frequently and reflects the local produce which is available at that time. Whatever is on the menu will not disappoint. The restaurant is spacious and light and doesn't feel crowded even when it's full. The Miners, Sling is certainly a place I would recommend.
