Sunday lunch - what a lunch it was too. I had the roast beef and hubby the Squash an beetroot wellington. Everything was cooked to perfection. The beef was very tasty and the side dishes, from perfect roast potato’s, fresh green veg and the stunning red cabbage were excellent. I feel I am waffling on but I recommend the Miners highly.

Booked this pub because of good reviews. We were visiting local attraction. Did not disappoint. We had Sunday lunch, beef, ham and turkey. Everything cooked perfectly. Vegetables, red cabbage, Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes were all so tasty. Service amazing and value for money. Would definitely recommend. We will visit again soon.

Fantastic as always! Brilliant service, food and atmosphere. Always a menu a little bit different from the norm, which is to be applauded, along with some classics brilliantly done.

Came in after Clearwell Caves Santa grotto! Staff really friendly, lovely pint of nutcracker & the ham & cheese ploughman’s was plentiful & delicious! Wife had the burger which she said was one of the best she’s had & could barely finish it . Warm & great atmosphere. Would recommend

Fantastic meal and evening as always, we had the two course Christmas menu I had the Indian spiced duck and bhaji and spring roll Definitely worth checking it out before Christmas is over

7 of us had a very pleasant meal at the Miners on Thursday. We were all happy with our food and the chips were particularly good. My only criticism was that when I asked for a side salad none was available. It was all very relaxed--no annoying music and we were able to take our time.

Always accommodating and helpful, (I have a milk allergy) and always fantastic food and even better service love this place !!!

Our first visit, and we were very impressed with the look and feel of the Miners, lovely old world style with a welcoming fire!! The staff were very attentive, and although we arrived early, it wasn't a problem, and we were seated immediately ( we had booked in advance) After perusing the nenu options , we both decided on the beef roast meal with traditional trimmings. When our meal arrived, it was very impressive, as we had a small joint of beef to carve ourselves at the table, which added to our enjoyment, and an array of vegetables, all cooked to perfection, the beef was the big "stand out" as was absolutely the best, cooked beautifully, was so tender and moist, and the flavour was second to none! Just delicious! We also had the shared dessert, which included a variety of tastes of Christmas in 5 ways, from Christmas pudding ice cream, and ending with cheese...a perfect end to our meal! Would highly rather Miners to anyone looking for a first class meal and service at a very reasonable price...we will definitely be returning! Very well done, and our thanks to all the staff at the Miners !

Very good quality food, everything was beautifully presented, hot, tasted lovely. Service was fast and all staff were friendly. One slight drawback was the kids meals, I found it slightly expensive and it was presented with a very nice garnish of rocket, red onion, watercress....my children are not fussy at all but this did put them off a bit initially! Overall we had a lovely meal and enjoyed our visit.

We have been here several times now and the food never faults !! Highly recommend
