Good food and service Highly recommend

Lovely reception for us and our dogs. Very attentive service. Excellent food. A lot of effort has gone into local drinks and ingredients which really pays off. Lots of parking.

Sam and her team made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. The menu was fantastic, featuring fresh, high-quality ingredients expertly prepared. Every dish was bursting with flavor, and the attention to detail was evident. Highly recommended for outstanding hospitality and an exceptional dining experience!

Lovely food as always. Had friends stay and she was coeliac and they catered for her . She was very impressed. Many thanks to The Miners and their team .

Fabulous as always- from the lovely welcome to the service. This is one of my favourite places for Sunday Lunch, wish I could go more often. I have never had a bad experience here. My only feedback is bigger portions of Vegetables please and separate boards for different meats.

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch on 2nd February 2025. Really good food and menu choices. Staff always work hard to provide courteous and prompt service. Highly recommend The Miners.

Our group recently had a meal here as a post Christmas get together .They were very helpful in arranging a group booking and accommodating the changes in number due to the inevitable winter illness, resulting in people having to cancel . Despite being a large group ,as usual the food and service was fantastic . It is refreshing to see a restricted menu, which is always a good sign that the food is freshly prepared and home cooked .

I spent a lovely lunchtime here. Warm and cosy, staff attentive and food really delicious.

Beautiful meal

I have never had a bad meal and I come here quite often, as for the Sunday butchers board…….faultless.

Our meal was excellent. We were asked if we had any special dietary requirements. We are both diabetics and requested sugar free main courses. The restaurant rang us at about 5pm as they were worried they would run out of the sugar free options. They suggested we go early to ensure we could have this. Our meals were excellent. We both felt that we had received service above and beyond that which we expected. Thank you. We felt this was very considerate and ensured we had a lovely meal.

Best Sunday dinner around and in my top 3 Sunday dinners all round, great food, plenty of it but not too much, puddings well worth a go at too! Staff friendly and look after you too... Dog and child friendly too... All in all a great place to have a Sunday dinner with the family Defo recommend!

Our party of 3 had a warm welcome from the friendly staff, 2 of us chose the suet pie and the other the burger. The food was great and the gravy with the pie was too die for. The desserts of creme brulee and sticky toffee were fantastic. I chose the cheese board. The quality of the ingredients and the cooking is way above the average fayre available elsewhere. We will return soon!

We went to the Pot Luck menu which is held every Monday. You have to book as it's very popular and only from 5-8pm. It's a limited menu but still has plenty of choice but once it's gone it's gone! 50% off the printed prices on the food menu which makes it a reasonable price, especially given the quality of the food. Generous portions and fantastic food with the opportunity of trying something you wouldn't normally find on the menu. Plenty of staff so you're well looked after. A lovely evening!
