Paul Ainsworth at No 6 – PadstowExcellent food, wine and service. An oasis in the in a very bleak culinary dessert of Marazion and district.
Ben’s Cornish Kitchen – MarazionWow! There aren't enough words to express our experience at Paul Ainsworth's No. 6 on 3rd July 2010 - OUR WEDDING DAY! Paul and his staff far exceeded our expectations with the quality of service, food (of course), help and friendliness from beginning to end. It wasn't our first meal there and it certainly won't be our last!
Paul Ainsworth at No 6 – Padstowvisited ASK this week. Service was generally good. Need to be more observant with drinks etc... and waitress dress code (or lack of!) needs seriously reviewing!!! Starter was fantastic (mixed mezze platter)... Pasta was okay... didn't have time for pudding unfortunately. A good stop for a quick pasta with friends.
ASK – Truroshocked to be the first reviewing this pub. I first visited on a cold winter lunch time and was thrilled to walk into a huge open log fire. We had PROPER sausage and mash and it was fantastic. We have visited various times since and always had fantastic food. prices are fair given the quality and even better if you find one of the vouchers they regularly print in the local papers!!! well worth a visit. sat right on the lake , beautiful views. Lovely for a walk after your meal.
The Golden Lion Inn and Lakeside Restaurant – Redruthgreat pub for a quick bite. reasonably priced and consistent quality.
County Arms – Trurofantastic PROPER burgers. top notch!!
Blas Burgerworks – St IvesAs always the BABA delivers fantastic service and beautiful food. the staff are brilliant and attentive. A brilliant restaurant for a special meal.
Baba Indian Restaurant – TruroWe had the great pleasure of discovering this cosy contemporary eatery when we stayed in Marazion. The staff are very welcoming and the service is excellent. The meals were exquisitely presented and absolutely delicious.
Ben’s Cornish Kitchen – MarazionThis cosy welcoming cafe has a wonderful atmosphere. delicious food and great service.
Mackerel Sky Cafe Bar – PenzanceOn entering this restaurant it appeared pleasent and relaxed. We had to wait at the bar for our table but to our surprise were not offered a drink. When we were seated there was confusion over the table despite the restaurant having many empty tables and few dining. We ordered wine and later ordered a main course plus garlic bread to nibble first as we did not order a starter. Our wine came, then the garlic bread, which was just that,! We drank wine and nibbled the bread. after an hour we were told our meal is on its way...after another ten minutes waiting we decided to leave, On leaving we were again told our meal was on its way but by that time it was far too late.....we dutifully paid for our wine, which in retrospect should have been offered on the house, and left. This was now 9:15pm and we were famished. We have heard of slow cooking but this was ridiculous. We had no apology and they certainly took the money for the wine, which by the way we had not finished . The whole experience was very unprofessional and totally unacceptable. Be Warned! This restaurant has much to learn.
The Loft Restaurant and Terrace – St IvesBrilliant brilliant restaurant - just how seafood should be eaten. Fantastic food and superb atmosphere. I can't recommend it enough

Ben’s Cornish Kitchen – MarazionAn exciting menu, excellent food, amazing presentation. Hoping to come back again next week.
Paul Ainsworth at No 6 – PadstowHaving come off the beach we wanted something to eat before setting off back to our holiday cottage in Fowey. Having walked around Looe, we settled on the Golden Guinea as they had a couple of 'early bird' specials. As soon as we walked in I was having second thoughts,a very drab interior and a strange whispering atmosphere. Never mind, this has happened before and we've gone on to have a fabulous meal. Sadly on this occasion this was not the case. I had possibly the worst fish and chips I've ever eaten ( or tried to ) Nothing was wrong as such, at least not enough to send it back to the kitchen, but everything on the plate, and even the cheap sachet of tarta sauce was very poor quality. Even my pint of Bitter was terrible. One to avoid at all costs
Golden Guinea The – Looei will not buy chips from here again. i have never seen so much grease on chips before. the next day when i went to the toilet to empty my bowels even my stools (poop) were greasy. sort it out Walkers. regards Kathy Dew (MRS)
