Very pleased to have experienced such a memorable meal at Sagor. The food was exquisite and the staff were very friendly. I had visited Sagor during my holidays in Launceston, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a restaurant that offers both traditional & contemporary indian food.

Sagor Tandoori Restaurant – Launceston

One of the best meals I have had here, perfectly cooked, tender, salt & pepper squid followed by an awesome fillet steak. Great puddings, dessert wine and a superb bottle of Burgundy. Perfect food on a wet night.

I enjoyed a fantastic New Year's Ve here and want to go back for every celebration on the calendar.

Wreckers – St Austell

Ate there on a cold February Saturday-had to book they turned lots of people away. Excellent food had a mix of early evening menu and a la carte, very good rose half bottle of wine. Ask for one of the tables in the window upstairs, for a stunning view of the harbour.

In need of comforting food on a drab mid week evening, I knew what I needed was available at Tabbs new place. The Parsnip soup with toasted sesame oil was a revelation, served with moorish home baked rolls. The main of red mullet was perfectly cooked and came with squid ink tagliatelli and a delicate creme of snow pea and mint, side orders of pommes boulangere and green beans made for a satisfying meal. Superb!

This St. Ives restaurant is very popular, even out of season. Having tried it for the first time, I now know why. Probably the best soups I have ever had (I tried my wife's also), a splendid locally supplied fillet steak and perfectly presented monkfish. Staff were particularly friendly and the whole experience was one I want to repeat.

Seafood Cafe The – St Ives
Elizabeth & Ian & friends.

Our New Years Eve was fantastic!! We have eaten in the restaurant many times and been delighted with both food and service but the Bay really excelled even its own very high standards for this event. In fact we all agreed that we had not eaten better quality food anywhere...and we have travelled far. The staff were superb, attentive, friendly and fun, maybe the pea shooters were a step too far but hey it was New Year, and one that we will remember.

The Garden Bar and Restaurant – Penzance

An excellent experience. Food, drink and service fantastic. Very cosy bar with views across the moor. Hoping to stay there soon!

Gurnards Head – St Ives

We dined here just before Xmas excellent value for money and very welcoming landlord and staff.

Victory Inn – Truro
The Donut

This is a great summer stop-off for a pasty and a pint as you drift up the river. Fantastic view looking out over the river and a cosy little bar and tables inside. I wish they opened in the winter so that you could enjoy the log fire!

Smugglers Cottage Of Tolverne – Truro
Smokey

Great view. However I don't go to an Indian for the view, food is acceptable, service rushed and a little conveyor like.

New Maharajah The – Newquay
Neat

Visit this place for location alone - and make sure you sit outside! The staff and the locals are very friendly, the foods good and so is the beer - all you're left wanting is a sunny day!

Inn On The Shore – Torpoint

Lunch on an overcast Jan day was cheered up with a hot generous serving of Monkfish Cassoulet and an excellent crab risotto.

Alba – St Ives

The mussels with kaffir lime were an inspiration; the venison sublime. Just another reason to wish I lived in St.Ives. No view to see on a winter evening but who cares!

Another great meal here, the rib eye was top quality and cooked expertly, the music an additions the experience and the overall quality top notch, great home made breads and desserts. If you haven? yet, Go!

I went for lunch recently I always try new restaurant openings, I confess that I had been to Tabbs when it was in Portreath and had a great meal. So expectations were high especially as the new Tabbs was so beautifully decked out, contemporary with high backed chairs and elegantly laid tables. There are still a lot of people who go out to eat in Cornwall with a certain expectation for the food to be plentiful and low cost, that? fine if the restaurants policy is to buy at the lower end of the produce spectrum and there are plenty of places to go for that. When however the chef is accomplished, passionate and wants you to be bowled over by intensity and purity of flavour and wowed by presentation, the menu is designed to give a balanced and satisfying meal over three courses. Always letting the top quality of the ingredients speak for themselves, this is what Tabbs is all about! Quality over quantity. I was very impressed by lunch here, from the breads made fresh every morning, the exciting starters to the main of rare breed duck and the house speciality- the desserts. They work very hard at the attention to detail and the fact that NOTHING is bought in no not even the petit fours. Truro is achanging and as the more discerning diners hone in, there is a place for Tabbs as there is for Saffron, Chantek, Stingi and others. Bring it on !
