Excellent food. Great for English Breakfasts and for full evening meals. The braised lamb is the best ever tasted!

Excellent food. Great for English Breakfasts and for full evening meals. The braised lamb is the best ever tasted!
The Anvil – NewquayWhat a great traditional English restaurant. You can? miss it in polperro its right on the bridge. Have eaten there on several occasions and the food has always been perfect. Try the carpetbag steak, I couldn? eat it all and had a doggy bag it was so good. The ambience is fake traditional seaside restaurant but don? let that put you off. The people who own and run it are committed to it and it shows. Excellent but it is a little pricey.
Nelsons Restaurant – PolperroGreat fish soup every time, lovely crab risotto, fantastic Bloody Mary with basil leaves - perfect on a Sunday lunchtime. The bread is wonderful. My only quibble is the loud music from the kitchen on the way to the toilet and far from spotless loos when you get there. They obviously love what they do and do it well - just get a cleaner on Sunday mornings !
Alba – St IvesThe menu is a bit ambitious, but the food was good. Staff are attentive. Spoiled by the smoky atmosphere and 'not very nice' toilets (which I believe are to be upgraded shortly).
Mannings – TruroThis is the best Chinese restaurant in Cornwall. The food is always superb and the service excellent. Worth every penny.
Eastern Promise – TruroThis restaurant is tucked away down a side street, but it is well worth visiting. Kerry is very friendly and will make your dining experience most enjoyable. The food was perfectly cooked, vegetables were crisp and the meat was cooked to my requirements. this restaurant also catered for the vegetarian and the vegan diner. Go there you will not be disappointed.
Hut, The – FalmouthExcellent service, very helpful and knowledgeable. Prompt service of food. Without doubt the best Indian, if not the best place to eat out in Cornwall. Will go back time after time.
Balti King – HayleSuperb food. Stunning location. The salmon comes highly recommended. To be able to eat quality food and enjoy a stunning view is heaven
Indaba On The Beach – FalmouthMy wife and I had lunch on one day and dinner the following day. On both occasions the food was absolutely superb, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The panoramic views added to the wonderful atmosphere. The best we have found in North Cornwall without a doubt. Pat & Derek Ewell, Dorset.
The Edge – Port IsaacWent there for a Saturday evening meal and was very surprised at the quality of food. I can recommend the best chilli beef I have ever tasted!!! Great service, nothing was too much trouble. Very comprehensive wine list. All should be applauded. A+++
Seven Bays Bistro – PadstowWonderful food and splendid views - ask for a window table. A pity this is a smoking restaurant.
Lifes a Beach – BudeA fond favourite before, now it? been refurbished looks amazing. Fantastic ambience, staff, food and price, everyone must visit this eatery if in Fowey or Cornwall
Sams – FoweyThe sort of restaurant you hope to find on a visit to cornwall but never do!! Superb atmosphere and fine traditional menu, the fish was very fresh and tasty.
Smugglers Cott – LooePricey but very tasty, get what you pay for. However I would say you got a better quantity than the norm in most...so that makes up for it! A great Chinese restaurant you can be guaranteed of excellent food and pleasant contemporary surroundings. Phone ahead and check availability though, winter times no need. Go again? Definitely!
Tai Pan – FoweyRick Stein has a team of Chefs that can turn out nothing short of seafood perfection. My partner and I went on a lucky booking. Usually hard to get a table because of its popularity. Worth the wait and the staff are 1st class! Scallops starter for her Thai Fishcakes for me followed by Lobster Thermidore mains and 2 bottles of wine. Faultless simple food. Price overall was roughly £20 more than our local seafood restaurant in N.Wales yet quality was a far superior!
Seafood Restaurant The – PadstowFabulous evening!!!!
Waves – PadstowWhat a find! The presentation of food was quite exceptional and more worthy of a top Restaurant! Yet at pub prices and served with the minimum of fuss. A must and we look forward to going back and staying in the Hotel simply to go to the Pub again!
Godolphin Arms – MarazionWe have a holiday home in St Ives and so we are there alot. This restaurant is definitely our favourite in St Ives. We can take the whole family including my dad who is tres fussy. The pizzas suit us and the kids as they taste just like the ones we have in Italy. Dad loves the selection of fish and mum always goes for the healthy pasta option. The ambience is great at night and the wood burning oven in the open kitchen is fab too watch. I'd recommend any family to try this restaurant out - good value and very family orientated.
